Same reason a lot of monsters have horns and wings for no apparent reason - decoration!

If you feel like writing more I would be thankful, although I am already. Whatever information you include will be placed somewhere for the players of my game to read (monster description or something)

Horns can be used for stabbing, and wings can be used to stir up dust.
