Hmm, What does it mean when your monitor continually(once or twice every half hour) shuts off and turns back on immediately(before the picture is completely gone). This is really bugging me, and I think something might be wrong.
Are you using it while this happens? You might want to go to your screen saver set up dialog box thingy (=p) and look for Energy Star Settings. Click on it. There should be hard drive and monitor shut off boxes.

I'll check the energy saver settings, and yes I'm using it while this happens.

Hmmmmmmm. I don't know why if it does this while your using it. Mine turns off every half hour when it's idle. I thought it might turn right back on because your using it, but I don't know why it would turn off.
This USED to happen to mine, apart from it would be once every hour-ish. I never found a way to fix it, until I was moving my room to the attic (2 rooms, each twice the size of my old room, all to myself),and ,while attempting to carry the monitor, and main unit up a ladder at the same time, I fell off the ladder.

The main unit landed about 2 inches from the top of my head, and the monitor landed painfully on my stomach, and then even more painfully, rolled onto my groin. However, when I finally got it all upstairs the monitor was fixed!

(Being a 19" monitor, not LCD it was really heavy!)

Heh, mines 21" not flat in any way.

I told it to never turn my monitor off, now I just have to see if it keeps shutting off or not.
