I just got around to watching this and I was impressed. :) I don't even know what goes into making flash animations, so I can't speculate on the talent that went into that, but it's more than I've got. The humor in the piece caught my notice though, I think you have a good grasp of what makes things funny. (It caught my notice because time has given me such cynically low expectations when it comes to web sites trying to be funny.)

Also, the speeding up of BYOND needs some thought. I know that the servers do a lot of data transfer, but why not allow advanced users to define the exact procedures they want operated... (such as allow them to define the screen generation (rate, etc.) I have been playing with this in Game Maker, and have had minor success creating four-player RPGs just by transferring only the information that is neccesary... Just a thought.

i think this is just one of the funny thing that makes byond devolopers GO CRAZY!!!..any who i think its much better and much joy if the version 4.0 comes out. I cant wait and i would jump out of te window if it takes long. Only kidding, from what i have seen its good work on flash and you could have used Directer.
i am impressed with your skill and knowleddge to come up with something that push Dan and Tom to release the version. But you showing a violation that affects teenagers that on byond. "trying to download byond V4.0 and not out yet" then he jumps out the window "V4.0 released" then i dont see the guy who jumped out side coming back for V4.0. Thats somehting that amazed me for letting byonders know that people sacrifise them self for new version. Its just reduclas, Dan and Tom delaying V4.0 for some reason.. to come up with good and joyable version for programmers. my point of veiw is to wait for them to release when ever they want to release with good quality and more joyable version. Gozenko, being Dutch, or whatever you call people from Holland has great difficulty in stringing together a coherent English sentance. Please remember that it is not his base language.

I think most teenagers have enough sense not to follow the example of the guy in the movie... and those that don't have enough sense have probably already perished from going "cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs" or something. | |

There is a chance of someone comitting suicide because of all of this hype and they have to wait a couple of months for it. Look at the Everquest issue. When the 21-year-old comitted suicide shooting himself, because of the games' high addiction elements, and they assume that there was some kind of issue in the game (Uh...Maybe he lost armor or something..). All I'm saying is, anything's possible; Hey, who knows people might jump out of a window because of the hype on this thread about BYOND 4.0....But those people would be really, REALLY uneducated and/or mentally slow.

No, no -- I think you've misinterpreted it. What that shows is that there are 2 games being played live right now! It could be 2 games with 172 users each, or one game with 3 players and one game with 341 players. It doesn't mean the other games no longer exist; it just means that no one is playing them online at the moment. | |
