My brother and I are both on a router, my Mom has checked and there is no firewall (that she knows of) and we want to host my brother's game. My Mom also has a domain that she can host his game on. But we need help doing this. We would like to host from our computers, but if not Mom said we can use her domain. Can you help? Give us instructions for hosting a game from a router or Mom's domain. She hosts domains by the way. Or at least direct us to the right place for instructions. Thanks.
A domain is just a name that points a person's computer to a server of some sort.

You cannot host a game from a domain name.

She hosts domains, can she put the server on her domain server and run the games from there?

If it's a computer and it has access to the internet, and you can install and run programs on there freely, then it can be used as a server.

What kind of computer is it? What operating system is it running?

Does anyone know how I can host with a cabel modem and router?

Here's what you do.

Look at your Router manual, access the control panel within your router. Open the port you wish to host the game on. And boom, there you go. Host the game under that port number and it SHOULD work, it can work under DreamSeeker or DreamDaemon. DreamDaemon is good for dedicated, if you plan on doing that.

You answer the questions that people trying to help you are asking, that's how. -_-
