A few nights ago, I told my five year old son that it was time for him to go to bed. He asked if he could have some juice first. I told him it was too late, as he still has trouble getting up to pee at night, and I didn't want him to wet the bed. He got mad at me, and told me 'he wasn't my friend anymore' a few times, something he picked up from an 'Elmo' video. He got quiet for a minute, then looked up at me and said with a totally serious look, "Daddy."
"What" I replied.
"You fired." he said.

Man, maybe he's read Donald Trump's Auto-biography or something...and in that case, a very smart 5 year old! <_<
I think that may be a sign of a distressed child, or something. It's time to introduce him to Doom 3. >:-D

Well, in the days before DOOM 3, Duke Nukem 3D was a parents best choice.

"Your fired" doesn't necessarily have to be from a bad television program. I'm sure that phrase is used a lot in cartoons as well.

[EDIT]

Eh, it should be "you're fired" not "your" - MY BAD!

Duke Nukem side-scrollers were so much better than Duke Nukem 3d. No one seemed to like them though. Of course, you can't forget the number one video game of all time: Commander Keen.

Actually, I believe he got it from the second 'Back to the Future' movie. The other thread is what reminded me of it.

Well, we do monitor what he watches. He doesn't get to watch any horror/excessively violent/vulgar/etc. movies. It's tough though. We were watching PBS the other day, and after his cartoons went off, some cooking show came on. BBQ U, I think. The guy was cooking a duck, and said something along the lines of 'Now, turn the duck over, and season the other side.' He's using a fully cleaned duck, so it doesn't actually look anything like what I figured my son would think of when he hears the word 'duck'. My son then says...

"That ducks dead."
"How did that duck get dead? Did somebody shoot it?"

The guy then takes a rotisserie spit, and sticks it through the duck.

"That's gotta hurt."
*pause*
"That ducks dead."
