My spelling is alright however my grammar sucks. Run on sentences forgetting periods and the whole set of things, im basically wanting to use a grammar checker to use for the forums because i dont want to sound like an idiot until i finish my English class this year(Sophomore year) because they are teaching us grammar and my grammar sucks so yeah.. if anyone has any suggestions to make my grammar better or an Online checker(like a spell checker but with grammar =p) it would be appreciated.

Holy crap, you aren't learning grammar until tenth grade? I learned it in Grammar School (You know, first to fifth grades)

I'll say.

You tend to learn grammar up to year 5, then in year 6 they start making you write creative stories. In 7,8,9 you read books and write essays/stories. At year 10 and 11, you read, write essays, analyse text and memorise literature.

It's no wonder that children around the age of 13-16 don't know much grammar, and internet doesn't help much either.

Maybe he means like sentence analyzing and diagraming sentences and shhhtuffs.

They continue to teach grammar throughout high school, its easy stuff to forget. Some teachers just don't teach it as much, or as well, as others. Its nothing to be crass to poor Goz about.

EDIT: Its also typically called elementary school in the united states.

I know, I call that too, I'm simply calling it Grammar School to point out the fact that it is named after, you know, grammar.
In response to Garthor
Except it is not, you know, named after grammar because it is not, you know, named grammar school.
In response to Garthor
But it's elementary, my dear Watson. :P

Didn't it used to be? The term sounds familiar.

I do not remember public elementary school to ever be called grammar school. This is solely my opinion, so I hope no one tries to take it out of context.

EDIT: Would have been nice of someone to tell me I left an important word out -_-

Actually, the Internet does help with grammar. You see how others type and you learn from them. Sure, you do not study it, but you learn the more you see it. And yes, it is called "Grammar School".

"Grammar Schools" = Microsoft Word Spellcheck.

Well, actually, it is called "Elementary School" and/or "Grammar School", whatever you prefer.

Go look at the local elementary school sign and see what it calls it(this is if you live in the US and this type of school is oppropriate).
In response to Jotdaniel
