1) It's a fan-game, get a more novel idea.

2) Games relying on reflexes don't work well with BYOND, as its methods of getting user input are horrid.

3) It's a fan game, think of something new.

4) Action shooter games on BYOND are also bad bad ideas, since BYOND uses tiles which are pretty restricting in the directions you can shoot with any degree of collision detection accuracy. Writing a more sophisticated method would require some work and its results would be less than satisfactory. BYOND was meant for adventure games and RPGs, sadly, like A Step BYOND which isn't so much a game as it is an example of the rudiments of DM.

5) It's a fan game. (I feel like I'm harping on this!)

GTA online is'nt such a bad game.

I kind of agree, he is a bit too buff, but he's the Master Freakin' Chief! By the way, I was playing around with a side view today as well...

Mertek, I can't tell, is he supporting your argument, or is he proving arguing with him futile?

The side view I like more for some reason.Good job ^^

The byond version of gta wich is made by one fish down is a shooting type and is'nt a bad game is what I ment.

Eh, if you have not noticed, the Master Chief was very, very buff in the game as well.
In response to CodingSkillz2
CodingSkillz2, how can we give you ideas for a fan-based game? You cannot add things in that were not in the actual video game. Well, you could, but it would not make sense to do such a thing. Just add what was in the video game. Remember, it is fan-based.
In response to GokuDBZ3128
Than what would be the point of making it? Why not just play the video game?
In response to Artekia
That is one of the points I was trying to get across Artekia. But, making Halo on BYOND could have things like a different map, new guns, new items, ETC. and I do not think he needs ideas on new guns and items. Those are easy to come up with.
In response to GokuDBZ3128
He was actually kind of short, I don't think he was VERY buff, but he was a rather well-built man. Which is kind of an ambiguous statement, because he was literally, built...

The Master Chief was designed to be the perfect blend of man and Machine. He was genetically engineered to the edge of human limits, and enhanced by mechanical implants and special glands that release performance enhancing hormones into his body. On top of that, his suit, the MJOLNIR battle armor, enhances his abilities even further... heh... cyborgs...

I hope they actually release that game they were "planning on making", you know, the one about the SPARTAN-II experiment, and how the Covenant rampaged the planet where they were creating all the Spartans. (Master Chief was the only one who survived the assault.)

Okay, CodingSkillz. Here are a few things I think Halo needed badly. I think you need an alternate form of grenade. Landmines. Also, implement the things that are going to be in Halo 2.

Weapons:
Covenant Energy Sword - One hit kill (penetrates shields), but has to charge up and is used at close range. (can throw grenades while using this.) Two handed weapon, except in the case of the covenant energy shield.

Covenant Energy Shield - Infinitely recharging plasma shield. Adds 50% armor when equipped. If depleted, stuns the user for a short time. Only protects from the front. Can only be used with one-handed weapons. Uses the grenade hand.

Plasma Pistol - Only Covenant can reload this. This can charge up or can fire rapid shots. Subject to severe heat penalties. Can wield two of these at once, but must forego the grenade hand.

Plasma Rifle - Only Covenant can reload this. This can fire rapid shots. Is subject to severe heat penalties. Can wield two of these at once, but must forego the grenade hand.

Needler - Fires rapid homing shots. This can be dual wielded, but player can't throw grenades with two in hand.

Plasma Cannon - Only Covenant grunts can carry and fire this. It explodes if the user dies (just like in the game.). Shoots a highly explosive round of plasma that explodes on impact. Instant kill for direct hit, unless shields interfere, and massive damage for near hit. Can throw grenades while using this.

Pistol - Can be dual wielded. Shoots low-explosive shots that have a small chance of killing an unshielded target in one hit. (headshot).

Assault Rifle - Can be dual wielded. Shoots low-explosive rounds that have a tiny chance of killing an unshielded target. Has a moderate chance of missing the target.

Assault Shotgun - Shoots a serious spread of pellets at the enemy. This can take out a shield in two shots, and kill up close in one. Is useless at a range.

Tactical Rifle - Can be dual wielded. Shoots low-explosive rounds that have a small chance of killing an unshielded target in one hit. Have a reduced chance of missing, and a high range.

Hand Chainguns - Hose-fed handheld rapid fire guns. Only come in doubles. have a wide spread of fire, and a low ammount of damage, but a high rate of fire, and never have to be reloaded. There is a small chance of jamming.

Sniper rifle - Powerful long-range high explosive rifle. Instant kill on an unshielded target, and tears through a shield in one hit. Bounces off of Covenant hand shields.

Grenade Launcher - Launches a powerful, high explosive grenade at the enemy. Severe damage, will destroy shields and do severe damage on a near hit, and nothing can protect you from a direct hit.

I'd also suggest the ability to use vehicles, such as a ghost, or a warthog, but that's another story.
In response to Ter13
Thanks and as for the vehicles aslong as the players don't mind a 32x32 car it's fine xD.

Ah ha! I always wondered how long master chief was asleep before being woken up,how old is he,what year was it,and why he was put to sleep.
In response to GokuDBZ3128
I see your point. But I reallt don't need idea's anymore seeing the release is near.I really need now different game types.I have some of the normal ones but want some original ones which I've came up with one.

Slayer(every man for himself)
------------------
Maze(My idea, everyman for himself with some floods(npc) to find a flag located somewhere in the maze.
------------------
CTF(Capture the flag)
------------------
I will be happy to add any idea's I think are orinial and will be good for the game.Thanks.
In response to CodingSkillz2
Capture the Flag and Slayer were already multiplyer options for Halo: Combat Evolved, but, it would not be a bad idea to add it into your game. CTF was one of my favorites (it's fun when you connect 4 X-Box's and have you and 15 of your other friends playing. 8 V.S. 8. This game can have tons of players. This would be very, very fun).
In response to CodingSkillz2
Why do you settle for 32x32? Make it bigger. =) It's not impossible, plus, it looks cool.
