You all know i use the key codingskillz2 for my key because I forgot my pw for codingskillz. Now when I updated byond it erased that too!!! I had alot of ppl on my pager...are they gone for ever???
Yup. Maybe you should consider writing down your password. Or at least choose a password that you'd remember.
You can retrieve the password if you still have access to the email address you used to create the account.

If you don't, silly you. =P You should always keep that email address up to date.

Well is there anyway I can get my pager list atleast?
I thought my password was [blank] and tried [blank] but nothing...Can dantom possibly give me the pw if I emailed him?

lol first of all you mean they Dan and Tom are two different people. Secondly you have no chance of getting the password off of either of them as people could pretend to be some one they are not, e.g. i could pretend to be some one called BobandGeorgehavefun (name just thought in ma head) which would cause a security risk, as people could find out passwords to keys that they do not own.

wow, I just notice Dantom = Dan + Tom, lol

BTW, I'm pretty sure your pager list is stored on your computer somewhere, and not on the BYOND server.

the pager list is on the byond server, as when u sign in on a key using a different comp you still have the list

really? I think they should be stored client-side, but whatever!

I think they're stored in both places. At least the ban list is stored client side.

Would this be my pw in a code?

It is in my byond cfg, thanks.

since the number after the pwd is different, it probably is not the password, or if it is, it is scrambled pretty bad. as mentioned before, the only way to retrieve your password is via the method Crispy mentions. if not, tough luck, and maybe you'll remember a little better next time!

:)
Since no one else has mentioned this yet, I should do so.

1) Never mention your password (or guesses at your password) on the forums. It eliminates possibilities and allows people to see your lines of thinking and possibly guess your password.

2) The forums aren't the place for this. http://www.byond.com/support/
