I've been looking up this up for a long long time and have come up with this....
X-Box 2:Not much released but it is said it might be using Apple computer components! Which I find really funny seeing that xbox is made by microsoft. Also Halo 3 is now being worked on which brings the rumor about halo2 being the last in the saga flase.
Playstation 3:Really didn't sell in japan very well at all which brings some people to think is it even going to sell here well? Most of the people that said it would loved the Final Fantasy series.
Halo 3-Not much information yet at all but it will be released for playstation 3 and xbox 2.
All of this will be released somewhere from aug 05-dec 05.
Halo---Also master chief was shot in the ribs and put on an island with all the aliens when he was only six years old for his first test.

The creator of Halo announced that Halo 2 is the last of the Halo series. That is not a rumor, that's a fact. The PS3 hasn't been released yet. Anywhere. The PSX was. The XBox would NEVER have apple parts. MicroSoft uses the XBox for marketing of their system just as much as they do for money. :) And he didn't even mention the Revolution. I can't WAIT til Revolution hits England. |
I can't find it but it's in the magazine Game Informer.I let my friend hold it but on monday I will get it and tell you the issue number and what it says.

Actually, X-Box 2 is connecting the X-Box to TIVO, and no, that is not a joke. The creators said by doing that they would call it "X-Box 2" because the graphics look much better and more realistic. Also, if Halo 3 was in the making, which it is not, it would take a lot more than a year. The 2nd one took over three years, and you expect a Halo 3 to be created in a year? Yeah...right. Also, Halo would never come out for PlayStation. Never ever. It sells way to well and Microsoft wants all the money. No way in hell will they give a copy to the PlayStation company. Man, the first Halo has been the number one game since the day it came out and still is. It still sells for $50.00. After 4 years. Pretty damn amazing if you ask me. And people still buy it.

I don't know where your heard that, because it's all wrong.

Your friend is a liar, first of all, I subscribe to Game Informer, and it isn't worth its weight in toilet paper -- and that is one heavy magazine. Secondly, this business about Halo on the Playstation 3?!
Bungie is a computer/XBox ONLY company. XBox endorses them under the pretense of exclusive console rights. Now, this business of the PS3? Out? Well, they are still undecided on the specs. The new PS2 is on its way, however, and the PSP (I think may be out) is at the very least on its way. And secondly, John's first test in the halo series wasn't being shot in the ribs and tossed onto an island with covenant everywhere. Actually, John WAS shot in the ribs, but that was during a mission to capture the leader of rebel insurgents. His first test was actually a coin toss. Keyes and the Doctor (whose name escapes me at the moment.) go to John's school on some random planet, and asked him some questions, then she has him call out which face the coin landed on before it actually hit her hand. His eyesight and reflexes were so perfect that he managed to do it. (They also talked about how it may have just been luck, bringing up the idea that John was not the best spartan, but just some lucky little kid.) Point is, EVERY argument you brought up was wrong. And any information you've heard about the XBox 2 (Which is currently being, again to my knowledge, called the Xenon.) is wrong. The machine was thought to have been using dual Apple processors, however, this was misinterpreted, a heavily modified G5 is being used as a DevKit for the XBox2. As shown in the october issue of Game Informer, the specs for said machines have not even been mentioned. Bethesda wasn't even allowed to bring the interviewers from GI into the same room the computers were in. Microsoft has kept a tight lid on what they are coming up with. I've got the November issue of Game Informer right here now, and just as I thought, you are full of it. THe only mention of the Playstation 3 and XBox2 are... nonexistant, and as for the Halo 2 mention? Yeah, guess what, the only mention of Halo2 is an AD on pages 18 and 19. Why would you even post about any of that? Did one of your friends try to convince you that he knew what he was talking about? Or was this your concoction? |
I don;t know which issue but check the one with the guy riding the horse in the front. The first few pages ,It says somthing about halo 3.He wouldn't trust me with the book -_- but I did see that.

I reread the article from the October 2000 issue. These "leaked specs" were actually for the DevKits. The devkits ARE apple computers, however, the "Xenon" has had next to nothing stated for the stats. The article does mention "Halo 3" they claim this will be released the same day that the Playstation 3 is released. However, Bungie has stated time and again, this is the end of Halo. And... WHY would they have released any information about a game whose senior is still under development? Remember, Game Informer is actually printed a month before you get it. I got my issue in mid september, and I've had the November GI for about two weeks now. Point is, that's about a month and a half + before Halo2 even came out. I highly doubt that Bungie has even considered a third game. Sequels can do well, but few titles have pulled off a third game successfully still keeping the same elements.
Halo3 has not been mentioned by a confirmable source, thus it does not yet exist. |
The XBox is a computer that costs $600 less than a good computer, and requires a completely different media and programming tactic than the Computer, THUS the production of the game would be split, THUS making it neccesary to have both listed sperately. Secondly, the XBox is inferior to your average computer. A normal T.V. doesn't compare to a standard monitor in resolution, sound quality, or framerate. Plus, computers can be updated, and XBoxes have to run their games off of a disk. Computers can install essential files.
The XBox is as much a computer as the Playstation 2 is a computer. All electronic technology is essentially a little computer, all the essential elements are there. |
I have not decided whether or not Halo 3 will come out, but if Halo 2 is very successful, which there is a very high chance it will be, I can see a Halo 3 coming out. They might keep it a secret for awhile, though, seeing as how they like to suprise people.

I do partially agree.
Look what happened to Fable. They promised all this crap that they cut from the game. If you release too much while the game is in development, you are making a huge gamble. Build someone up, and they will be disappointed when there is something you promised missing, but if you just jump the game on someone, they might enjoy it. However, I refuse to believe in the third game until I see renders. |

Do you READ posts? Or do you think that quoting is enough to make it appear that you did?
I stated the XBox is no more a computer than the PS2. This means that the PS2 is also a computer. It just doesn't have a built in hard drive, you have to buy that seperately. Every argument I provided in that post was supporting your argument, but refuting your testimony on the idea that it isn't a console because it is just a dumbed down computer. ALL electronics ARE essentially computers. Arguing that the XBox doesn't deserve to be called a console is completely idiotic. Secondly, Bungie isn't owned by Microsoft, they work on their consoles. |
