Wow, I'm stuck at my parents' house... It just started snowing this morning, and it kind of iced over... At least they kept my room almost the same... Well, anyway, family's kind of just arriving.
It's kind of funny, the weather in Kansas, we haven't had a single snowy christmas in a long, LONG time, and I doubt we will this year, but thanksgiving has managed it already. O_o

Heh... Lucky you, I'm out of work for a bit. I typically do lawncare during the warm months for a profession, so, I guess I've got to find myself a new job.. Ungh.

I live by the beach, no snow for me :(..But, it does rain! And it's warm year-round!

We had ours about a month ago. Hopefully it will not be as bad as last year, as we had snow banks between 10 and 15 feet high that encroached on the road.

"Snow will pile up this morning but it will end later this morning leaving us with 3" to 6" in the metro. Thanksgiving Day looks cold. Stay inside and enjoy the turkey."

We had a period like that. We had a drought (spelling?) for quite a few years, no snow for the entire time, then suddenly we got bombarded with snow a year before the winter olympics were introduced here. I was so happy for the snow... But now it's once again cold all the time :-X

Likewise here. We had snow in October, but it snowed for about fifteen minutes and remained on the ground for maybe two hours.
I'm expecting no more than a few centimetres sometime in December, with no persistence. But hey, Nature's proved me wrong before. *shakes his fist at her* She's always confounding my plans for microcosmic domination. (Soon, the back yard will be mine!) |
We got our first now a few days before Halloween here, it's been snowing off and on since, we have a couple of inches on the ground right now.

Here in Oklahoma it hasn't snowed yet, but I think everything has been iced over. I haven't been outside yet, but looking out my window, I see no snow.

I never, ever get snow. =P (Living in Australia, for those of you who don't know.)
Well, that's not quite true. It did snow once, quite a few years ago. But that only happens once every few decades, and usually only for a day or sometimes two. What we do get is very cold winds from the nearby mountain ranges, which DO get snow. So, yeah, it's not all sunny down under. Though it mostly is now, being summer at the moment. |

I think it's odd that your part of British Columia is so mild, while here our area of New Mexico is known for it's ski resorts. Then again, you're next to the sea while we're 7,000 feet above it, 8,000 in Nadrew's case.

It's supposed to snow today where I live, but I'm betting it'll just be a few flurries.

Oh yes.. that time it snowed here you're talking about.. was on the night of my birth.. mwahahahha!
And sure it snows here, all the time .. well during winter anyhow. You just gotta be on top of a biggish mountain, otherwise it all melts too quickly. This winter I could see a snow covered mountain out my window, if I looked hard. So there. :P Sure we never ever get a white Christmas, I guess. But you've got global warming to look forward too, maybe when the climate gets screwed up we'll have Winter at the end of the year too.. although perhaps its more likely we'll have an infinite Summer. |

The entire of Scandinavia (and, again, England) will be rock solid! Have fun with your ever-lasting summer...damn Americans...*grumble grumble* |

It actually snowed more recently, too, only a few years ago. I forget when exactly, but I was old enough to remember it. Could have been '98 or '99, I guess.
