Gah, this sucks, I have been working on my project since 11/15, and five minutes ago, I reformatted my hard drive and lost EVERYTHING I had completed. (A guild system, a group system, mail system, etc..) I think, that I am THE most unluckiest person on BYOND.
Please, do not even say that. There are people who have lost years worth of work like that. I know because I am one of them. Everything you have just mentioned takes about fifteen seconds to code in. Please, do not say that. You brought back memories. O.o
Wait till your writing university papers. That's a hard one to explain.
My brothers deleted the BYOND folder and I lost all my BYONDScape libs and demos and stuff (I no longer have a subscription)... thank god for backups!
Sorry to hear that... Why did you have to reformat?

I can't stress enough how important it is to burn all of your games onto a storage CD... if I wer eto get a computer-ending virus right now, I would lose about 15 hours worth of work, because 4 years or so is saved on a CD ROM.

That reminds me... I need to re-burn on my SD folder... Been a while since I did.

Well, this caused some discussion, ok, so I'm not that unlucky, but the stuff I mentioned isn't all of it, there was a WHOLE lot more to it then JUST that. X_X *EDIT* I think the reformat worked, my computer is going ALOT faster, I think it's safe to start my webserver :P

2nd edit: I just got a download of almost 500 kb/s :P

Bah! Fancy speeds. It's all about 30kb/s :P
That kind of happens when you reformat hard drives... you know, it's clean.
I have no pitty..You should be smart enough to know things get deleted when you format your hard drive.

Do you really think I was thinking about it after the adware/spyware had drove me out of my mind? It had annoyed me soo badly, that I would've done ANYTHING. I had tried EVERYTHING, to no avail, and it wasn't till I was in the middle of setting up windows again that I realized what I just lost.
As what everyone is saying, it wasn't that much time anyway. You probably could recode most of it in a day or two, since it is already in your head and you know how you want it done.
heh, my comp just got stomped into the ground my some new trojan that starts with a v. blue screen, stop error, the works, so I took it to a pc repair guy, and I'm sure he'll have to wipe my hard drive. So I just lost about 3 months worth of coding and a lot of really good icons.

Some of us lost things that could never be replaced. I've lost precious photo albums containing the only picture of my real mother, whom I haven't seen since I was 3. Still, that's not as bad as losing the real thing....

I have had to lose a lot from my computers. I never seem to get everything backed up, but I try my best. I have 4 computers in my house, all my important files are on all 4. I still have my first CD-RW...ever! It still has some Byond files on it, not to mention a ton of other crap. I should browse though it just to see what I have.
Thats nothing really, people have lost way more.

I just wasted like 5 hours trying to make the buttons on my X-Box controller, only to find out my soldering iron and solder is crappy

Good point, I also have the oppertunity to do it better then I did before, and I guess it really wasn't THAT much of a loss. I received something that takes my mind off of it(I'm now grounded from the computer on mondays-thursdays). I'm just lucky that I hadn't uploaded the baby pictures on MY computer, or else I'd be dead. It still kind of sucks though, I had passwords and stuff that I lost.

Dude, maybe it's not the materials and tools, but the driving force behind them. ;-)

Another one!!!!!
Tribal Fusion stole the guild demo from GokuSS4Neo. Download his Guild Demo and then download Tribal Fusion's Guild Demo, they are exactly the same. Tribal Fusion has removed some icons and removed the credits from it.

Found another.

Tribal Fusion's Idle Demo is Idle Proc by Ninja Slayer except he has added in a small bit of code and said it is his.

Im starting to doubt whether he can code anything advanced at all, but rather steals demos and adds stuff to them and calls them his.
