Well if you have ever played Dransik Classik you would know. But its a game that people have been waiting for for a while and well some people don't know yet so im telling them!
Wow. That looks like Ultima V. BYOND could easily produce such a game.
In response to Jmurph
Ummm.. Actually no. Byond couldn't easily produce such a game. If you look at the technical terms such as the inventory and such then you would see how hard it is.
Actully I agree with the others.

In the demo I played, EVERYTHING I saw on the game, can and has been done on byond, and guess what, it can easily be re-done, because there is a lib and demo out there, for just about EVERYTHING I seen in that game.

As for the comments about the Dransik Classic graphics, they are ultima graphics, believe it or not Dransik stole them from ultima.

if I can dig up the tiles set I had of them, I can just post them, hell, if you wanted, I can open up the files I got with the Lothgar tech Demo, and compair the graphics to the orginal Dransik and Ultima.

In Anycase, not impressed.

Well, If you would have searched the site you would have seen that these are just graphics from Dransik Classik that they are using in the mean time while they work on the very detailed graphics they will use for the actuall game. And actually no, you are not able to completely create the Lothgar Online game on BYOND. Trust I've tried before but there is just no way. Sure there are similiar things you can do to make it like what the game had but you can never create the actuall functuality of the procedures used in the games.

HA! You say an on-screen inventory cannot be done? Obviously you do not understand what client images are for, my friend. In fact, I understamd Dreammoor had quite refined inventory management before it was cancelled, and there is no reason you couldn't get control down to the pixel if you wanted. In my current project, I have been playing with drag and drop inventory where you can drag an item to inventory (or character) to pick it up, drag it inventory to move it, drag it to a body location (that isn't too wounded, of course;-)) to equip it, etc. None of it is particularly difficult once you plan it out.

I do not dispute *you* may be impressed by such a game. However, do not expect those with more than an introductory level knowledge of BYOND's capabilities to be.

I used to play Dransik before the graphics and the corporate shift. It wasn't that impressive. You want to know the reason I played it? Because of the ultima V graphics. I loved ultima, and it was the only draw of the game. I view this one as nearly the same.

Heh... How does the fact that they are temporary change the fact that the graphics were stolen in the first place? You just basically supported his argument, while at the same time sounded like you were trying to contradict him.

And just because you can't mimic this game, it doesn't mean it can't be done. Now, if you want to contradict me and claim to be the end-all-beat-all uber DM master, well, let's just say I don't see too many people as being very positive in reply...

I've literally seen and done almost all of the things that game has. Have you seen the new Final Fantasy Online? They actually extended the screen in order to make an onscreen menu possible while playing!

I'm not saying BYOND is always better than commercial games. I'm not saying that this game is crap, but I am saying that I'm not impressed, and that I could probably, if my attention span could hold, do better with both BYOND and other programming languages I've already proved my mastery of. Hell, if I learned Ruby, I could probably make a better online game with RPGMaker XP (Yes, online games can be done with a little know-how and server interaction between C++ and Ruby.).

This is all beside the point. It looks like a decent MMORPG, but if it were a single player game, it would fail miserably. I do not understand why online games can afford to be awful personal experiences for one player, and be awful experiences for entire communities of players. TO be honest, more of them are like work --without a paycheck, oftentimes with a $5-$10 drain on my monthly income.

It's nothing new. At best a cliche game with an elitest and rude playerbase. Heh, blaming the problems of the game on new players... As if new players ever ruin games. If anything, it is the actions of the old players that ruin games, seeing as they torture the new players and deliberately try to make them quit.
