Yah, apparently I am cheating on my girlfriend since I tell all of her friends that I love them. I am cheating on her because her friends like to hug me.

Unless SpongeBob goes somewhere with one of the male characters "for a quicky", they have nothing to complain about.
what next?

News: 10 people die in iraq...

News: Headline! Spongbob is gay!
Another thing I cant get about this is that they dont complain about shows like Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.

Maybe its because they arnt aimed at kids as their main audience, but thats beside the point.

To be homophobic is to be old fashioned, a fuddy-duddy with aging ideas. Any people with such ideas belong in 1955, not 2005.

Essentially; Grow up, you're old fashioned. Get with the new, and stop being such a loserly old fart.

If everyone started humping trees I wouldn't accept that either.

This show has nothing to do with sexual preference. At all.

Gaaash man, have these people actually SEEN the show?

It's bad according to who? The deeply religious who hold concepts of imagination over science? Homosexuality has actually been looked into as being genetic, and a lot of studies are researching this very real possibility, and a lot of results have shown signs of homosexuality being genetic. I believe religion can be a good thing, since depending on your religion will help shoot you toward certain goals/ideals and develop morals which aid society, but some parts of these beliefs really need to be stomped on if we want to see society go on. There is no reason for people to be fighting over the choice of a lifestyle that really doesn't affect anyone besides the ones who live it, in fact I think people should be more worried about condemning drug abuse and violence than homosexuality, and if you can't see why, then you really need a reality check.

SpongeBob isnt 6 years old. He has a lisence, or at least he took the test to get one. :P How old is SpongeBob? He cant be too old because he acts like hes 6 and he cant be too young because he owns his own house and has a job.

Science. Is it true humanity has resorted to living by such a weak standard? Let's place ourselves in boxes, let's analyze it, and let's set ourselves up for defeat.

There's also been lots of studies regarding aliens coming and abducting people in their sleep. Of course, any mild-minded person knows that research alone proves nothing.

Personally speaking, I do not condemn homosexuals themselves, just homosexuality as a whole.

you're all missing the point, Spongebob Squarepants is a *beep* cartoon, and should be pulled from the air for that alone.

Also, to the person who said that we need to just accept gays, you're no different whatsoever than those who say we should condemn it. Most pro gay groups ignore such things completely.

Personally, I go with the military don't ask, don't tell idea. If you're gay, fine, but if you decide to *beep* because I don't like your alternate life style, then we have a problem.

How exactly is science a weak standard? Without it we would not have the luxuries and understanding that we have today, without it you wouldn't be able to voice yourself to me from your computer. It doesn't set ourselves up from defeat, are you implying that it is better that we lie to ourselves and cuddle up to the idea of mysticism and the unknown. Leaving stuff up in the air to plain imagination equals horrible results, look at witch persecutions for an example.

There's also been lots of studies regarding aliens coming and abducting people in their sleep. Of course, any mild-minded person knows that research alone proves nothing.

Without research you don't get answers to questions, research helps prove things. However, I guess the common mindset is how dare science go against old fashioned belief and prove it wrong.

The fact that you condemn their lifestyle says that you condemn the people.

Heaven forbid the possibility of someone who is able to not like a person's behavior yet still like the person. Besides, there's more to a person's lifestyle than which gender is more appealing.

Well, as stated above - what does their life style have to do that bothers everyone soo much? Sure, I don't really like the thought of two guys, or two girls making out - but, hey guess what...it's not me. You don't have to accept it but, you shouldn't try to make those whose lifestyle it is disown it as well, or make society look to them as criminals, or sexual predators to our children.

How do you know? The rules of underwater life could be very different from our life! Maybe they don't live aslong, and because of that the age of adulthood comes much sooner? Who can say? Only the creator of Spongebob!
On another note, There was that one episode where they kept saying that one word which convieniently enough there was alwasy some oddly appropriately timed occurance somewhere that censored the word. Through clever deductions and educated guesses, it was decided that the only word that could possibly fit into each and every instance was the... *pauses for dramatic effect* 'F'-word. Yes, there was an entire episode of spongebob based around a 'bad-word'. It's like everything else.. People need to suck it up and realise they can't control every damn aspect of everything.

Oops!
I guess research and science doesn't count for anything then. Lets all go condemn various peoples because our opinion is fact.
In response to Elation
Research alone does mean jack *beep*, any scientist or professor will tell you that. If you don't have hard evidence to go with it, you have nothing. Period.
This is perhaps the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. For one, Sponges reproduce asexually by budding, and sexually by releasing both sperm and egg into the water , the sperm fertilizes the egg and makes the new organism, making sponges hermaphrodites. So, there is no way a sponge could possibly be gay. These people are just looking for publicity. And besides, its not like a little child who watches the show knows or even cares what being gay is!
