Although I disagree, it's good to see somebody make a testable prediction. When the sales figures start turning up, I'm going to practice some thread necromancy on this topic.

Actually, the PlayStation 3 is not going to sell as much as the X-Box. I cannot prove this for sure but I can tell you why. X-Box has decided to release Halo 3 the same day that the PlayStation 3 is going to be release, which will hurt its sells tremendously. Most people, with the money they have saved up to buy one of these systems for the time being are going to buy the X-Box mainly for Halo 3.

If think you can manage to pump out a GOOD Halo within the first few months of the X-box 360 creation, then goodluck. I sincerely think this a low-blow to the Playstation 3 company... even though I don't like the Playstation 3 (I'm more for the Revolution), it's still pretty jerky of them to do that. And besides... not many people buy a console for just one game, more like, multiple amounts of games.

Revolution > Playstation 3 > X-Box 360

After two crappy games, what makes you think Halo 3 is going to be any better. I still can't figure out how they managed to brainwash so many people into thinking Halo is a good game.

Matter of opinion. Personally I know alot of playstation owners who will swear that Halo and Halo 2 are the only good games on the XBOX.

In my opinion, the ps2 has always been a lousy system, the graphics are terrible, the controller is awkward, and the loading times are unbareible. Not to mention how few controllers you can use. Seems to me more people are willing to believe that ps2 is a good system just because the game developers for the system have done a good job by providing good games that can't be found on XBOX for a cheap price. People want to believe that ps2 is better for the sole reason that the piece of junk is cheaper. The only redeeming quality for the ps2 is the ability to play dvd's, but I bought a remote for 25 bucks and can do the same thing with an xbox.

The next generation of game consoles looks interesting, they are both so advanced I don't think the specs will matter too much, even the revolution will crank out really good looking games. It'll come down to what games do you want to play. Me? I'm a huge Perfect Dark fan, so I'm practically foaming at the mouth for the next release. I just hope you can customize everything as well as you could with the first one. So XBOX 360 looks like my gaming console of choice, will it be better than ps3? That remains to be seen. Right now the only reliable point to go by is what games for what system will be released. We know by previous games for the current systems what will be released for what in generalites.

Also, I love the look of the nintendo revolution. I'm itching to see what their controllers will be.

Haha! I played my first pc games on a radio shack tandy. We had hangman, and ummm...Some sort of shark game. Man, those were the days...
I agree with him. Why make another Xbox console when the Xbox is still good?

Here's why: money.

And it makes sense too. Not from a gaming standpoint, but from a buisiness one. They are assuming that many ps2 owners developed brand loyalty because the ps2 came first, and they would be correct in their assumption. This time around they want to take the wind out of Sony's wings. Hit the gaming market before Sony has a chance to dry it up. They had a problem selling enough XBOX units when it first came out because of the fact that people don't want to run out and by a new system a year after they bought their first one (in generalities, you [nice] rich people don't count).

The plausible argument you presented will remain true for some people, just probably not most, which is what Microsoft is banking for.

Im definetly getting PS3 and Revolution. PS3 because of the games they have (Killzone, FF, ect.) and revolution because of its look and its power to download games.
I still don't like how nintendo still hasn't managed to get rid of all the crappy kid games they have.(winnie the pooh and stuff)
The only system i don't want is Xbox 360. It doesn't impress me much.

While you are sayin that..ps2 should get rid of : Barbie Horse Adventure, Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer,Bob the Builder,Butt Ugly Martians and plenty more. Just cuz Nintendo doesnt make AS MANY M rated games as box or ps2..doesnt mean its kiddy..>_> It does have its M rated games.

Nintendo does to make kiddy games if that is what you are saying. It is people who call it kiddy because:

1. They have never played the game.

2. Uncomfortable with their purchase.

3. Just plain ignorant.

First of all the only reason Xbox is good is its like a Computer than a console. Well Microsoft did make it ya know. The Playstation 2 is a little like a computer but its weaker than the Xbox. I hope Sony sees this and does something about is Playstation needs to hit the top. Ok here are 2 more questions.

If you saw or went to E3 this year do you think Killzone 2 was pre-rendered?

How do you feel about the PS3's Spiderman font?
In response to Blakdragon77
The Playstation is WAY weaker. The XBox excells it by 100% in some areas.
In response to Blakdragon77
Killzone 2 was pre-rendered. They admitted it in an interview. Mostly everything that was shown for PS3 was pre-rendered except for maybe EA's Fight Night.

When Nintendo has a M-Rated title on their system, its a GOOD M-Rated titles. Ive seen plenty of T, M and A rated games on the Xbox that just plain sucked eggs.

On the other Hand, a very large portion of all T and M rated games are very very good. And the even larger mount of more family friendly games are just as good.

Ive played Both Resident Evil 4 and Super Mario Sunshine and has equally good fun with both. If you think a game is bad because it has colorful graphics, or no blood, you need to go out and take a long walk off a short pier.

I am so tired of the new generation of gamers, all they care about is the Rating of the games and the power of the system. Power and Ratings makes not a game or system.

Well, I see nintendo's gamecube to be the "kidder" version out of the three systems, but I do think revolution will be a great success.Revolution will be their comeback...

[I found a list of some M games for gamecube]

Nintendo Gamecube has heaps of M rated games
BMX XXX
Bad Boys: Take down Miami Takedown
Blood Omen 2
BloodRayne
Dead to rights
Def Jam Fight for NY
Die Hard:Vedentta
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requim
Geist
Hitman 2:Silent Assasin
Hunter: the reckoning
Judge Dred: Dred vs. Death
Killer 7
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Midway Arcade Treasures II
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Mortal Kombat: Deception
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Red Faction II
Resident Evil
I could go on...

I'm not sure any of those are actually MADE BY nintendo. I know xbox and sony have some.
(And I'm sure most people can tell a C game when they play or see it.)
I would like to say 2 words which would tell you what system I stand by. Halo 3
