Legit or photoshopped? =P

~Kujila
Man, thats a hard one, but I would have to say they are probably photoshopped. I am not sure when the release of the books are, as I don't read them anymore, but I don't think that she lets her books out for people to do that to ;)

The amount of money you could earn from leaking a Harry Potter book (to the press, to a collecter, whoever) would be worth the risk of breaking into her house/robbing where she stores the books.
I don't think those are legit, but I could be wrong. I remember in the Harry Potter books (The Canadian ones, at least) They used single quotes for quotation marks when people spoke. I'm not for certain.

Release is tommorrow.
----
or tonight at 12:00 and 1 second :p
Today an HMV store in England has had the new Harry Potter book on show- people have been able to read it, although they are not allowed to tell others about it, or face legal action.

It was a blunder, and now the books have been removed, but a good deal of people have been able to read it.

They accidentally sold a few copies in a CVS store near me. And a few in canada. They're offering signed plates if poeple return them. I guess it's possible that thats the real book. I didn't read the image, just in case it was >.<
I bet the half-blood prince is Malfoy =D
Because he makes fun of all the mud-bloods

Sorry about any spelling errors... Been awhile since I read the book..

Ungh. My brother wants to get it right away at midnight and I HAVE to drive (PARENTS! ARG.).

Even though, I may post a thread on the new book tonight, like I did on the release from last release.

And, I hate myself. If those spoilers are true...my eyes just caught the words before I could stop.
If you look on the J.K. Rowling site, she said she was going to have to kill off another charecter. Looks like it was Dumbledore. :/

It looks way too good to be photoshopped too. You can see other pages from light of the scanner.

Note: I only went to the site once. I was bored. I forgot most of #5 and went to remember some of it. >.> <.<

i wont believe it until i read the book myself (people say the book is for kids: death, torturing, evil. exactly what a kids book should be :P)

Hey, it's what the old fairy tales all were. Little Red Riding Hood is a horrible gruesome story!

Well, the part that says that Dumbledore does look a little darker than the rest, but that is it, it looks real for the most part. It curves with the page very well, it would have took some time to get that exact. I would guess that it is real.
I think it's fake.

Look very closely at the letters that make up "CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT": see how the page has a little dark square between each? The title of the chapter and "CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN" are the same. It looks like he copied and pasted those letters seperately.

On the page, words and groups of words have the squares behind them.

To get the copy machine effect, he probably copied a page from the fifth Harry Potter book, took out all of the text, and replaced it with his own.

true. Something i just noticed, isn't the death spell "Avra Kadavera" different in the other books?

This only took me around 10 minutes, so clearly someone with enough skill and patients could do it.

That doesn't match at all, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Even at a quick glance that seems fake. Come on now, that doesn't prove anything. Well, anyhow, we will know soon enough (I think somebody said the book comes out tomarrow or something, I don't follow the harry potter books).

Don't complain just because Snape killed you. :P
Fake.

I just bought the book and page 606 does not have that.

*Spoilers*

But it does mention Dumbledore's death.

I'm REALLY sad I ever opened this post :( I didn't want to know that spoiler. Dumbledore dying freaking sucks - this coming from a guy who was FORCED to read the books.
