Well, Ive been looking for a online game, and I have always been found of the Final Fantasy series, not only that, I really like the idea of turn based combat instead of action based combat.
So I picked up the game box set with the expansion set. I also picked up the booked Atlas and a guide for the game.
If anyone else plays the game, tell me, and you can help me out when I first get it tomarrow right, or saturday morning.
I have dial up, but I was told if your machine is good enough, it'll run just fine. Heres hopeing.

I played it, and it sucked, royalyly. It was just mass grinding, nothing else. NOT fun.

plus, Sony doesn't even make the hardrives needed to play the game anymore on the PS2 after they made the PSTwo (smaller version). There are better ones on the computer.

I had the choice of Final Fantasy Online, World of War Craft and The Matrix Online, I choose Final Fantasy Online.
I have been reading up on it, and i guess its alot harder then most MMORPG and alot slower too, which puts alot of players off. |

Haha, my friend Levi played it on satellite connection for a long time. He had a latency of 4,000 at regular. Talk about addiction =|

FFXI ONLINE:
Got it at this past christmas. I loved the game! It was my favorate game of all time. Seriously. I have everything needed for it still, but I dont have a credit card to redeem my acount. IT died on Feburary 18th, 2005 at 2:27pm. It was horrible. I knew it was going to get shut off soon, so I was nagotiating someone to pay it for me, and I would pay them back...And all of a sudden..It died. I never got anywhere in the game, because I always got about level 15 and switched servers.. I MISS YOU TALNA! But yah. I loved this game as much as I do my PS2. I would have chosen it over ANY other game. Even thoug the matriz online is tempting... |

It's not the slow advancement that puts players off, it is the fact that the game is based entirely around grinding. Also, incase you haven't already found out, the combat system is not turn based like in other Final Fantasies, it's more like Lineage 2. In fact the game reminds me a lot of Lineage 2. There are so many better MMORPGs out there, trust me.

The combat is automaticly done, but you can change what you do on your next turn, so I assume its tick based. |
