So yeah I'm connected to the net via a Wireless B Router/USB Adapter(Yeah, the router came free with RoadRunner). By the time the signal reaches my room and my adapter, it reads either "Signal Strength: Low", "Signal Strength: Very Low", or I'll have none. I've looked into it a bit, and I'm thinking that the best way to solve this would be to go out and buy a wireless access point to place between my PC and the router.
I'm not sure if this is the best solution, or if it is even a good solution, so any advice would be appreciated. (By the way, the router must remain on the cable it is currently connected to)

Try raising the router as high as possible. This can make a great difference. Also, try using foil to direct the signal if most of the computers connected are in the same general area. This worked great for me.

Yeah, but if you wrapped it in tinfoil, it would look ghetto....
But I guess whatever works for you. Were thikning of going wireless (I don't know if my linux will work nicely with that though.) The ONLY problem I have with this is.... How would I hook up my PS2? |

They cost money, I would rather do it for free. look up pringles-can antennas. there's a few projects on the net using a pringles or coffee can to help direct the wireless signal in specific directions. cost a few $ in parts. |
