Let me give a few examples: You forgot a couple: Lummox JR is actually human. Dan is quietly living his life in Panama. Crispy is actually a burnt cracker resembling Jesus. |
It was a response to your statement. Are you now the only one who dictates who may respond and what they may say? You are the one who started swinging around the political labels, remember?
I think it is legitimate to point out that Slashdot is hardly a reputable source and is on par with Fox News for reliability. Generally critiques of sources are pertinent to a discussion. Far more informative then "lol" junk posts. Seriously, if you don't want public input, don't post on a public forum. Simple, no? |

And yes, I know Slashdot isn't the most fool-proof news source, and often posts stories that are false, but you know what? It's irrelevant to stick in your ("your" in general, not just you) loathing and condemning of Fox News in a post that has nothing to DO with that. Seriously, if you don't want public input, don't post on a public forum. Simple, no? If I want political input I will post in a political thread. Simple, no? ~Kujila |
This is a prime example of why politics need to stay off the forums.
The discussion of news sources was relevant at the time, but I think it would be a good idea if we all went back on topic now. |
I've ran it via VMware on my 2.66 GHZ P4, it has SSE2... but it's still verrry sloww...

I am working on getting there with you. Not so much because I like the Mac OS(Not much experience), but I want to play with it and learn what makes it "So Great!".

The fallacy here is the assumption that Microsoft would allow Apple to stay in business as a direct competitor. Apple's a pretty sizable company with a lot of cash reserves in the bank, but they are nowhere near big enough to stand up to the 8,000 ton gorilla in the PC OS market. If they ever became a direct competitor to Microsoft, MS would stomp them into oblivion before you can say "choice in commercial operating systems." I recall reading awhile back that Bill Gates owns a pretty decent % of Apple stock, so it's not like the company could keep anything from him, even if they wanted to. Ofcourse he may have sold his shares since the 90s, but let's face it, he wouldn't unless it took place during the M$ hearings a few years back. |

Far more informative then "lol" junk posts. Considering how much Fox News is utterly dominating CCN and other 'supposedly liberal' media outlets might be a way to bring a clue to the people who can't understand the idea that both sides are flawed, but that Fox atleast covers things in general, better. |
I never got it working on my hard drive, but I did get it working in VMWare, but it is slow...........
So I will stick with Linux, at least for now. I am debating setting up a VM of XP, Linux, 98, and any other OS I can get my hands on. Why? You ask. So I can fiddle with anything I want, including infesting my computer(Virtual) with Spyware, and attempting to remove it. |
And all this really doesn't change the fact that you are a thief if you pirate software.
