And oh, I think I'll wait for REAL FF games like FFIII and FFCC for DS.

Saying FFCC is a real game is like saying FFMQ was hard, it's complete [expletive deleted].

PSPs can use regular, far more common than flashcard, memory sticks. People talk about what they can use on a flash card to play on a GB/DS, yet you can do the same thing using a PSP, only you can have a several times larger card to store [expletive deleted] on.

People seem to forget the simple fact that after so many years of being the -only- handheld company, Nintendo has an already set fanbase, who whether they realize it or not are bias to an extent, and Sony has none.

I don't really care much for the DS though. sure the touch screen is nice, but it just proves the fact that people, kids mainly, are more attracted to a new object than a good one.

And for the people who were complaining about a lack of GC having any good RPGs, you've clearly never played ToS.

Then they should like the DS more. It's more stable, has a longer battery life, and is backwards compatible and can play games from the Gameboy.

Un Nintendo has since then been gaining back footing on the market, and has even recovered rights to Final Fantasy Games.

M$ has rights to the name too, maybe it's because SE is going to be releasing games for all 3 companies' consoles?

Of that list, there are not very many that're going to stand up to Q4 or ES4. COme back to reality and realize something: Oblivition is going to utterly dominate any other RPG released in the same timeframe, and Quake has a huge following, with millions who would buy the same game with better graphics, which we ALL know pokemon fans have done, and will do.

And you don't get the same thing in forums?

FFCC was a real game. It could be put in a gamecube and played. Pretty stupid to question it.

Over the estimated 15 years Nintendo has made the gameboy, there have been plenty of competitors.
In response to Nesso
several competitors hardly advertised the product, and were done with it a short time later. The Gameboy has gone without competition for years on and off.

And by real game, I mean a good, quality game, not some POS. The fact of the matter is FFCC was completely horrible, even if you had the extra handhelds so you could play with friends, it wasnt that good, and let's face it, when the makers of the SECRET OF MANA games can create such a bomb, it's scary. CC was made with the intent of needing multiple system types to play it fully, SE made the game worse than it would've been had they simply made it for just the GC, and not thrown in the GBA BS, so no, it's not a real game, it's a bastard love-child of SE and Nintedo wanting to whore something for money.

I am so tired about hearing people speak about the Sony UMD like it is going to over throw DVD or VHS. UMD is the next Beta Tapes if you ask me.

To even CURRENTLY use a UMD right now you have to have a Sony PSP, which costs $250 and up, depending on the Firmware now. Then you need to buy the UMDS which cost $10-$20 depending where you shop.

The UMDs are smaller, the quality is a little bit off, they pack less extras, and right now, your watching them on a small screen.

Not to mention by the time you get done watching one UMD, the battery life on your Sony PSP is cut down by 80% or more, and I don't know about you, but I don't LIKE to use my Handhelds, any of them, with a power cord. Key word "Handheld"

For $100, maybe less now, you can get DVD players, with a higher battery life, bigger screens, that are compatable with VCD, SVCD, DVD, Normal Music CDs and more that you already own.

Even in the event Sony did make a seperate Sony UMD player, do you think the masses, who already spent money on tons of dvds and a dvd player, is going to go out, and spend money on a UMD Player and UMD movies that are bascilly the same with less content?

They are now talking about packageing Sony UMD movies in with the DVD movies. Excuse me, I already don't like paying $15-$20.00 for a new DVD, I dont want to have to pay $20-$25.00 for a damn DVD packed with a UMD video I'll never use.

Right now, Sony owners are also think they have bragging rights, because they can run some pretty sweet homebrews. When in reality they have none at all, since Sony is constatnly trying to cut own any homebrew at the moment.

You want to play that New RPG coming out this Winter AND play Super Mario 3 on your PSP? Tuff, you choose one or the other. You can't have both. Because each day, more and more games are coming out with a Firmware requirment, that makes you update to play.

And while some people argue that there are hacks out, to allow you to bypass these Firmware checkpoints, the fact is, in a FM update, there maybe something added to the FM itself, that is required to have a game play properly or at all. So while you can force your PSP to run the newest game on a Firmware of 1.5 or less, that dosent mean it will run well or at all for that matter.

I don't see why people are still bashing the Nitendo's Dual Screens. So many people are saying the touch screens just a gimmick, while its more of an accessoire that enchances gameplay.

I don't know about other people, but I enjoy being able to open a status window in the bottom panel, or see where I am on a map in the top panel, while still seeing the actual gameplay footage.

And while some people may think the touch screen gameplay is immature, it is increadbly fun to be able to touch and draw on your screen to control gameplay, and its even fun to have to blow or speak into your DS to play games.

And while a mayjority of the Nintendo DS games are still 2D, that dosent mean crap. Almost all of the Sony PSP titles are in 3D and almost all of the Sony PSP titles are also crap. I have Metal Gear Acid, Lumes, Wipeout Pure and a number of imports, and out of all of those, the last game I played in the last 3 months was Lumes, and that is 2D.

It dosent matter if a game is 2D, 3D or any other kind of D [lol], as long as the game is fun and keeps your attention, its doing the job it was ment to do, to entertain.

Finally, I don't know why you think Final Fantasy CC was crap. I know a number of friends who play it by themselfs and have a blast doing it, and we have had a few FFCC parties over at my house and it was the most fun we had that night.

Its all a matter of opinion, but that dosen't mean you have a good opinion.

yes but I wonder how many people actually buy them in comparison for other systems? I know personally I don't buy any games on the gc if it's out for ps2 or xbox, it's typically just not as good graphics and such.
In response to Jon Snow
Thats utter BS Jon, if you took the games and lined them up , screen by screen there is very little, if no differance between the games that are multi-system.
In response to Shades
Considering that some portable dvd players cost $150 with a screen, the UMD seemingly has nothing going for it.
In response to Nathandx82
Lol. So your opinion matters if it is not a FF game or not? It has the name on it doesn't it?

LMFAO. Wait. Are you saying GC doesn't have better graphics than games on PS2? I really hope you aren't, because if you are you need to get your eyes examined.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love my PS2, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it has better graphics than GC.

Even when matched up against Xbox titles the difference is far from noticable.

Ok..WTF does that have to do with DS and PSP? Tell me that..Excuse my language admins if it offends in any way...

When multiplatform, I always get it for GC becuz its the system I own..Only Ps2 exclusives I get such as Budokai Tenkaichi..

When I can choose between what system I can buy a game for, I choose Gamecube over any other system. Why?

I love the Layout of the gamecube's controller.
The Wavebird Wireless is the best wireless controller ever.
I just plain out support Nintendo.

In response to Nathandx82
You dare call Mystic Quest easy!? I spent so long playing that as a kid, I even had to go to a walkthrough once!
In response to Makubezu
And according to gamerankings.com, the multiplatform Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith did the best on DS with a 71.4% versus the Xbox's 64.6%, and the PS2's 64.8%.
In response to Makubezu
If you can't see a grapical difference between GC and Xbox, you're blind. try say, Return of the King on GC, then Xbox. The difference is noticible, unless you forcibly ignore it.
In response to Nathandx82
There's a graphical difference between Pong and the Legend of Zelda: the Wand of Gameron but we all know which is the better game.
