My washington mutual card doesnt have a routing number or whatever you need to make a paypal account :( It sucks. I dont know what to do :,(

Paypal sucks, people need to start using real banks that give debit cards that are allowed to work like a visa/mastercard. Paypal is shady as hell. The thing that keeps them from being a bank completewly is that they aren't under the FDIC or whatever. They can, and will, screw your account(s) over royally if they even think you've done something wrong.


A nice example of recent shadiness on their part can be seen with the Somethingawful.com incident.



Sorry, dunno what kind of help you need Kujila, but avoid paypal at any and all costs.

I haven't had any problems with Paypal, but I do take precautions.

Firstly, I don't use it to store any money. I just use it as a channel to get money from A to B; all my money resides in BYONDimes (yes, I've still got some =)) and my real bank account.

Secondly, Paypal does not even know about my bank account. If I want to deposit to Paypal, I send them money orders.

They can't screw me over, but I still get to use their service. Works for me. =)

Convince your mom to get you a bank account where she has one. Just tell her it will be a good "learning experience" ;)

Call them and iquire about the routing numbers, that is what I did when I needed my routing numbers and I don't use checks.
