The thing is Edge have you read The Code, yet?
"Can anyone give me the battle code?" (Replace battle with GM, teleport, saving, DBZ , racing games, Mystic Journey, Seika, Battle of Evermore, MMORPG/RPG or anything else) The code - That statement is too general. No one can give you *the* code without seeing the whole source to your game first (and I'm quite sure you don't want to give it out). There are very few codes so general that it fits in all games without modifications. So please, for the benefit of everyone: Don't ask for *The* code. It doesn't exist. Same goes with *a* code. True, asking for a or the code can or will confuse people since, not asking for a complete description of what you do need help with. Instead, do like the renowned Lesbian Assassin suggests: "If you'd like to see some ways other people have implemented GM codes, or some ready-made examples you could incorporate into your game, take a look at the links on the left [on the BYOND home page]... Libraries and Demos in particular might have some good ones." Learning, things from Libraries and Demos, can help you. Just copying and pasting won't help you, though. may i have a code that only lets monsters deffend themselfs ( attack when attacked ) plz i need it and can you inclued item droping There is no code, but there is something like this: "I'm trying to implement magic in my game. I have a fireball icon and now I'm interested in knowing how to code a verb that creates a fireball next to the magic user, and then he/she can click on a target and the fireball will travel there. How can I do that?" According, to The Code, thats a pretty good explanation. |
I think RaeKwon or someone with a similar name has a demo on this. Search his name and see if you find it.
EDIT: Correction, its rifthaven, not RaeKwon. |

you idiot i read it already uhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I did'nt particularly mean as in that page I meant as in the Blue Book (DM Guide) or the DM Refrence. Once, you do LEARN something, from the Blue Book, Refrence, Demos, Libraries, BYONDscape, etc. I think you will find that you can learn something than mere copying and pasting from demos or libraries. You can learn to possibly figure out things for yourself and look it up to figure it out. Which, is indeed a great achivement. But, than again we can't build something FOR you but we can help you to try to achieve it. Thats why they call it Build Your Own Net Dream. -Legacy Warrior |

oh and jd i said a code not the code idiot I didn't just put it there because you asked for a code. I suggest reading it so you can be helped more easily. : Might want to read to get the info on how to get the best answers to your questions/requests Not only that but I said : Also, search the hub. There are plenty of battle systems that you can use. If not, you can learn/teach yourself/get a tutor to learn the DM language. Apparently, you didn't read the full message not getting the whole point. |
You're very adept at calling the people trying to give you seriously needed help rather than coding something for you, idiots. Perhaps you are the idiot for asking for something so vague. Perhaps you are the idiot because you cannot spell correctly.
But, I hold no grudges, and I must say, be more specific, search the forums and hub first before asking a question, and learn to do at least simple things. I remember a post earlier that you thought was a BYOND bug, but it was your own problem. |
While it could be justified probably, calling him an idiot is stooping to his level. Let him choose to act how he wants on the forums. Anyone can read the rules, and everyone generally knows how to act. If he can't hold to civil conversation, it is his fault, and he gets to deal with the consequences.

I didn't call him an idiot, I was... suggesting it. 0.o
At any rate, I don't beleive in classifying people with 'levels' of attitude or personality. It degrades people in a way, and it should't be done, but it is. Some people act the way they do when they are recognized the way they are by these people who classify them with levels. I do believe in that 'second-class citizen' thing with the whole deal of BYOND membership as it isn't based on attitude nor personality. I am considered a second-class citizen by some here, and I accept it. I have no money. |
