Since there seems to be a bit of needless confusion in this particular branch of the thread, I've come to clear things up (hopefully)
There is a video game channel, G4TV, which is the conglomeration of two previous game/tech channels, G4, and TechTV... Many believe that the merge betwee these channels ruined what they had good going for them...lol
Anyways, there's a show on this channel, called Filter, which has a special segment every episode called "Net to Know"...
This segment highlights different websites (in relatively brief, mostly tongue-in-cheek reviews) that have been sent in by viewers or have been found by the staff (things you "net" to know about, har har)...
Apparently, BYOND was listed at number two on the "Net to Know" list during the episode in question (I don't think the Net to Know list is a ranking, though... I believe they just number them for convenience)...
The mention of "Screensavers" has nothing to do with your original question, PirateHead... Screensavers is a show that used to be on one of the merged stations prior to the merge (I didn't have digital cable back then, so I don't even know which one had it)... Anyways, apparently, BYOND was also mentioned on that show back in '03 (as Karrigo's post was trying to say, but again, it was not an answer for your question, so why he replied to your post with it, I don't know... probably viewing the forums under topic view, which doesn't show branching)
Actually, from what I hear, the G4 show "Attack of the Show" is basically a resurrection of Screensavers (but some feel that it's worse)...
Anyways, I hope this clears things up...
As for what was said abut BYOND on Filter's "Net to Know" segment (which is what you were originally asking), it looks like someone else posted it (mentioning something about the guy saying he was going to make a Golden Girls RPG with BYOND, etc)
