I trade at a site call Gametz.com
2-3 weeks ago I traded a user there named Alda a Sony PSP Value Package, with 3 games and a hard carrying case for a huge ammount of Sony Playstation RPGs.
He still owes me two games Rhaspody and Romancing Saga.
He has ignored all my other e-mails.
I checked his page today and someone posted a Bad Trader Report, apperently he owes someone else some games.
So then I said enough is enough and I also posted a Bad Trader Report.
Now a 3rd person posted a bad trader report, and get this, 5 of the games from the lot I got from Alda are games he stole from this other trader!
Now the two other traders wrapped up in this are thinking about calling the police on Alda.
I have three questions..
The first being, if they cannot find Alda, will I be legally forced to return the stolen video games that Alda stole from the other trader?
The second being, if they find and catch Alda, will I be forced to return all of this stuff via mail, with my own pocket money? I will gladly return everything if I get my stuff back, but I do NOT want to pay for the shipping out of my own pocket.
Three, I at least put insurance on my package when I sent it out to Alda, if I have to give back the other stuff, but they cannot find Alda, can I claim my insurance?

Yes it does, I have traded there for years and have even traded to Canada and Japan. This is the first time ever this has happened.
But I was asking for Legal Savy people, not people woundering if the site works. Thank you. | |

Does the website control this sort of thing like ebay?
and i don't think you would have to give the items back you bought them there yours but if you must you will get your money back and more im not sure if your case would hold up in court im not sure. A.T.H>K | |

Further more there was no legal contract agreement on the site, with any of the traders really. We sent each other our stuff to one another in good faith that the other trader would hold up their end of the bargin. In terms of right and wrong it's pretty simple, you've got their stuff. If the roles were reversed would you want them to give you it back?
I would try and get my stuff back and give them theirs. I'm pretty sure that legally you are required to give those games back. Generally if the trader doesn't own the item you can't have brought it from them. I would try and claim on the insurance, however I was under the impression that it was for the postage itself not the deal. Ie, if the plane carrying the package crashes you get compensated. | |
It dosen't matter because I sent him an e-mail offering to buy the games that were stolen from him and traded to me.

While some people may in fact do that, it is quite easy to emulate another persons form of art and charaters.
For some artist, it is about honor and the community, the high ammount of praise some of the H-Artists get is completely insane and I am sure it inflates their ego. | |
Yeah well I just called the police in Myrtle Beach and talked to them, and they bascilly called me stupid, to stop tradeing online and move on with my life.
