Hosting Problems

Well i always want to host my own games but no one can ever connect and its beggining to bug me plz help!!!




Heres how it goes:Join game....Says URL at bottom and at top it says connection failed...

Do you have a router? if so, you may need to configure it for port forwarding.

i asked my dad and he said it isnt a router its a modem plus it was working fine until the new version of byond came out

kk i added byond dream maker dream seeker and dream deamon on my exceptions list now i need some1 to test

Just because it is called a modem doesn't mean it isn't also a router. Some are both, and that may be the case. If it doesn't work after you changed all of that stuff, I suggest at least giving portforward a look through to see if that is the case or not.

Crzylme thanks for putting that link on how to port forward because I love hosting but I hated not being able to have connection to to the modem instead of the router, so thanks much:)
