Does anyone know where I can get a Forum Building Tool/app? I would make the forums myself but my HTML isn't that good.

PHPBB and PHPNuke are good too, I set up a Nuke for Sana'te and it came with a phpBB forum and loads of other stuff too!
http://phpnuke.org/ or http://phpbb.com/ for details and downloads. |

Nuke is ookk but its not the best and anyway the topic is forum building software..
So learn PHP and you have pretty much got it or just use PHPBB or SMF in my opinion SMF rules over PHPBB |

i would disagree with phpNuke for several reasons - for one it is not a forum software, but a portal website. for another it has been prone to all sorts of spam attacks in the code related to posting comments to articles.
phpBB is pretty straight-forward, and if you really want a simple portal front end for it, try smartor (http://smartor.is-root.com/ - and his ezPortal can be found at http://smartor.is-root.com/viewtopic.php?t=1860) - the original digitalBYOND website ran on ezPortal + phpBB quite nicely. (a little off-topic, Hazman: you still want to use your hosting account? i see it's been in-active for quite a while. contact me via [email protected] if you lost your account data.) |

Thanks, but I'm wanting to add a forum to an existing website. The sites you reffered to you have to host with.

If your host has this you can normally find out the sql details and install phpbb by copying it to your site via ftp then running the install script. I assume that you mean just a website that provides forums you can set up then you link from your site to that forum, i know there was like a freephpbb boards thing where you could get your own phpbb board setup for free or something, google it and you might be able to find it. |

phpBB and other free forum systems made with PHP or Perl work quite nicely with existing websites. once installed, you can just create a link to the new forum page from within your existing website page(s) in just a few minutes.

I recommend Forumer.com, and using Invision Free.
A lot of custimazation, and they look good to. It's not bad, but I do think it's better then php. |

You.need.to.pay.for.that. I don't mind paying for it. I think i'll just create one at forumer and link it to the site. Thanks all! Wolf_Out. |
