I'm in need of the DW Spell List, not for the new DQ8, or for the SNES ones because of translation issues, and I want the classic names. I have the following so far:

SPELL LIST
Blaze - Single, Fire
Blazemore - Single, Fire
Blazemost - Single, Fire
Firebal - Multiple, Fire
Firebane - Multiple, Fire
Firebolt - Multiple, Fire
Icebolt - Single, Ice
Snowstorm - Multiple, Ice
Blizard - Multiple, Ice
Bolt - Single, Lightning
Zap - Multiple, Lightning
Thordain - Multiple, Lightning
Infernos - Multiple, Wind
Infermore - Multiple, Wind
Infermost - Multiple, Wind
Beat - Single, Death
Defeat - Multiple, Death
Heal - Single, Heal
Healmore - Single, Heal
Healmost - Single, Heal
Healus - Multiple, Heal
Healusall - Multiple, Heal
Upper - Single, Buff
Increase - Multiple, Buff
Sap - Single, DeBuff
Decrease - Multiple, DeBuff
Bikill - Single, Buff
Stopspell - Multiple, DeBuff
Surround - Multiple, DeBuff
Antidote - Single, Restore
Bounce - Single, Buff
Barrier - Single, Buff

Does anyone know of any spells that I missed? Or are those all the ones you know of? Please tell me if I missed any. Thanks!
Lightning
Firebolt is actually Firevolt
Typo on Blizzard

Thordain is a single target spell that requires the entire group to give up both their turn and 15 mp to cast.

Healall
Decrease is Defense

If I think of anything else (I am going to consult some faqs and such) I will let you know.

EDIT:

Expel
Return
Outside
Stepguard
Repel
AwakeFendspell
Ironize
Vivify
Revive
Chance
Speed-Up
Day/Night
X-Ray
RobMagic
IceSpears
Chaos
Bang
Boom
Explodet
BeDragon
Sleep
Sleepmore
NumbOff
Farewell

I think that should be all of them from DW4 that you missed. (got from here.)

If you want stuff from before that:

Hurt
Hurtmore
Radiant

Those are from DW1 (Clicky.)

Sacrifice (DW2 and 4. In 4 only monsters have it)
Open

Those are from DW2. (Clicky.)

Snowblast
Limbo
Slow
Transform (Also found in 4)
CurseOff
Invisible

Those were from DW3. (Clicky)

I think that should be all of them. If you want the damages of all the spells and such from DW4 I believe I have them on my computer. As well as a bunch of other goodies (such as the attack formula) from the PS version of DW4. I am using them in the DW game I am creating, but I can share seeing as I never actually made any of it myself. ;)

I believe Barrier affected the entire party. It reduced damage taken from non-spell fire and ice attacks.

Thordain in DW3, or at least it's remake was a Hero-only spell that did massive Lightning damage. That's the one I'm using, since partys arent nessicary in the game I will be using it for, making it not a very good spell w/o parties using that config. It will make it rigged.

Hurt and Hurtmore are really just copies of Blaze and Blazemore - without the elemental damage, I think. Besides, I don't think elements were really used in the original DWs, even though I'll be using them.

Good catch on Firevolt, and Defense, as well as the spell Blizzard.

Ah yes, Expel, and the other ones in that first list. Those will be sure to be added =)

Radiant is completely useless w/o the lightning thing used in DW1, but knowning the nature of my game that might be a handy addon.

Wasn't there Sleepmost?

Open does what?

I don't think Sacrafice will be useful if you don't need parties to complete the game.

Snowblast = Snowstorm I thought? I thought Snowblast was a name change from Snowstorm.

The damage formula would be extremely nice to have. I tried concoting my own crazy formula that I thought was what they would use, but I dont think it was right.

Transform is a monster-only skill, isn't it?

And what does Limbo do? I don't remember that one.

Thanks for the big list of missed spells.

It's Snowstorm.

I'm also interested in this.

No, there wasn't a sleepmost. Not that I know of anyways.

Open does what?

It opens all doors. So you can get rid of all your keys for more inventory space I think.

I am assuming it is different, because the list I looked at had both on it. Maybe I am wrong though.

My computer isn't hooked up right now, but when I get it to that stage I will set you up with it.

Transform is a monster-only skill, isn't it?

Was also used in DW4 by the Hero. He could transform into party members and use their spell list, attack power and so forth.

And what does Limbo do? I don't remember that one.

Not sure, never played that game too much. Sorry. The clicky link I provided has descriptions if you wanna look.

Thanks for the big list of missed spells.

No problem. ;)

Sorry about my other post. I misread what you said and I thoughted the SNES ones were what you wanted.

Here is a list of links more appropriate for what you actually want then.

http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/nes/dw1/
http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/nes/dw2/
http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/nes/dw3/
http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/nes/dw4/

The spell lists there should be complete, accurate, and have more information than just the spell names.

Transform was also a wizard spell in DW3.

And what does Limbo do? I don't remember that one.

Limbo is like expel, except that it only works on 1 enemy and has a better chance of working properly.

I never played 3 too much myself... so I am not too familia with its spells... but thatnks "Lummox" for pointing that out for me :D

I thought it still let you collect gold (not EXP) from the Limboed monster too.
In response to Sarm
I thought it was both.
In response to Gumshoe
That's Beat and Defeat. Expel wouldn't give you either.
In response to Sarm
Maybe it does. If so, I just don't remember that part.

Sorry for the bump, but could you please post the formulas? :)
Ugh. Reading that list makes me cringe, since I coded every last DW3 and DW4 spell for DWO exactly as they functioned in the original games.

Seeing BeDragon in action was pretty much the coolest thing ever though. Totally worth it.
