Pff. I doubt anyone on BYOND can make a game that can live up to the Elder Scrolls name.

Hence the "Good luck." :P

Morrowind is pretty easy to recreate in BYOND. Just make a bunch of NPCs insult the player as you walk past, then follow the player, hitting them if the player so much as even looks at some of their property.

Oh come on.

Morrowind wasn't that bad.

Nah, it wasn't that bad; it was terrible.

Morrowind had more factions to join (Imperial Legion, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, Imperial Cult, Morag Tong... the list goes on). Morrowind had more equipment types (Pauldrons anyone?). Morrowind didn't have such large restrictions on enchantments and spellmaking. Morrowind had a better haggle system.

Don't forget that it needs to be slow and jerky, even on modern computers, as well as full of glitches and bugs. It should also randomly crash or lock up every ten minutes or so.

Yeah, I think Oblivion was a big step backwards. It's not like they fixed a whole lot of bugs or balance issues, either. They just got rid of a bunch of [stuff], got some prettier graphics, and repackaged the whole deal.

It was weird. I used to think Morrowind was THE best until I played Oblivion... Then when I played Morrowind again I just didn't even want to play it.. When you walked it looked like you were... gliding I guess because the screen wasn't bouncing to make the walking effect. The running animation sucked very badly. It had a few glitches to allow you to get high stats. The graphics just sucked after I played Oblivion. It's like Oblivion opened my eyes to Morrowind's suckiness compared to Oblivion.

Pirate Head you are right with the whole "got rid of a bunch of [stuff]" thing which was bad, but I think they did that so it would be more simple and easy for softcore gamers or whatever, so in the end the smarter, more complex gamers get screwed.

P.S. I hate my life.

I have played Elder Scrolls 1, 2, and 3. Marrowwind was a fun game, but was very annoying when wanting to get somewhere fast. Oblivion must be doing something right though since it is one of the top games right now. Bugs and glitches are good, as long as it doesnt mess up the game... But who cares if you cast soul trap and fortify magicka?

Back to topic: I might be able to help as an iconer. Just not the main one, just as one that does some stuff. Im better with objects and turf then anything else. Alright night.

Bugs and glitches are never a good thing. Especally when I pay $50 to $60 for a frigging game.

I have the Morrwind game for the XBox and it happens to be very glitchy (cells not loading...NPC's dissapearing and reappearing) so I bought it (in a store) for only $8. If Obliviion is as glitchy remind me not to ever get it for $50-$60 dollars...no matter what the graphics

Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow clearly contradicts that statement.

Encountering Missingno., 'M, and other glitch Pokémon often interferes with the saved game data in various ways. Trainer and Pokémon graphics during battle are corrupted; the Hall of Fame data is extremely glitched (changes in screen color, music, and game speed have been known to occur); and rarely, the entire saved game may be deleted or the cartridge permanently corrupted.

Even rarely isn't something I'd like to chance. That's not a good bug.

I pwned my friend like that. "Go on. Find Missingo. It won't save without your express permission." (it silent auto-saves when you meet him).
In response to Sarm
I loved those things. Mysterio and Missingo could boost my pokemon's levels past 100. It was like... pwnage. I never had my save corrupted.
In response to Sarm

That'll only happen if you catch him, which isn't needed for the good side of the glitch.
