I found a game with a pagerban bypass, and ended up getting all my pagerbanned spammers reaping their revenge on my server. I certainly stopped hosting that game fast.

Icon Ultima makes it so any mod can access any server regardless. It pisses me off because I have had mods abuse on the server and I report them to Mobius and he doesn't do [much]. I love the game though and so do a lot of ppl who play on my server.

oh...well i am creating a run on of his game (with permission) if u have msn.....ill send u the host files, thats is if u wanna host..

Of course it's "legal"; it's no illegal patch to Dream Seeker, it's just a utilization of world/IsBanned(). Pager bans in IU are completely bypassed and handled in mob/Login() so admins and mods can access the server regardless of what the host thinks of them, and so that I can keep a record of the idiots with tens of keys. If you know about Soccerking, Oktusa or Nekato, then you know why I need to keep track of them.

How exactly would you code this, for example if the creator was pager banned, how would you overide one key and not all of them, I have looked up the IsBanned proc and it doesnt help me

You're two years late. I don't think that person is even here anymore (Never seen them, atleast).

Yeah, I was trying to get this put into the new version of Icon Traderz when I was an admin for that game.
People didn't like me as a GM because I was strict about spamming and stupidity. But I did my job... I put this into every game I make, but only for myself. I also put in a hook for a disallowed host list. If someone I don't like hosting my projects gets ahold of one, I can kick him from hosting. Whatever the case, I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to my projects, because usually, my projects can be ruined by bad administration, and I don't like my games having a bad reputation. |

So how exactly would you do this? To me it sounds like a very useful idea, then again if my host were to pagerban me I would most likely just change the hub password anyway.
Still, it's a useful thing to know. |

world/IsBanned(key,address) |
The host might not be too happy about it, but in that case they can just stop hosting the particular game. I don't see what any of it has to do with "legal".
