Its been 2 years since i've posted this [link]. I'am pretty impressed to see that Byond has basically tripled in numbers without the "advertising" I had suggested when I was younger. What do you guys think might be the cause of this drastic increase? I dont think it's "better games" because the best games were around 01-04.
Heh, I can only imagine our numbers after 07-08 because thats when it seems the best games are coming out.

Better games yes, but with that, came the community. There's quite a few bad players in our numbers now adays. So..yeh know. Karma. We get better games, but worse players..xD

lol i definetly wouldnt say better games... maybe more. id say the increase is due to people spreading the word, it has been 2 years and all,and people do have friends... well! some of them do

Half of which still play to this day, heh, four of them learned to program (something i could'nt even do). I mean the chains would be pretty nuts, for instance in one chain I told my friend named "Fleshyou" about this site and his cousin "Blazingdragoon" overheard who then told his friend Trung who told his cousin "Huy_Luu" (who i've never met but i am very good friends with). I think besides Huy_Luu two of the most popular people would be "Disturbance" my cousin "Zephyer87" . | |
Just remember, that's 2500 people logged into games with the pager turned on at that particular time. Most people don't play 24-7, and most people don't even play every day. So think about how many users BYOND must have to get that many people on at one specific point in a single day of the week.
