the first wi-fi online wii game will be pokemon battle revolution due in the next few months

there is also still a chance ssbb will be wi-fi capeable sence it is still unknow for a due date but will be after pokemon
This was known last year. It's always been known that Pokemon Battle Revolution would be the first online game.

And I'd hardly call it a deadly blow anyway.

Actually the Pokemon thing was unrelated. A guy in a Wario costume is firing off rockets in the Sony Japan HQ lobby. Tragic stuff really.

Seriously though, I'm not a huge fan of Pokemon but I don't see any way that an online Pokemon game can't be at least pretty awesome. Pokemon and MegaMan Battle Network just scream MMO.

They made way too many of those, don't give them any ideas.
While I am looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl and maybe even playing online, I do not look forward to Pokemon Battle Revolution.

The fact is, all Pokemon Battle Revolution is, is the Pokemon Battle system, with some souped up graphics. And that is it. Forget the story, forget getting badges and stuff.

The other battle games were bad enough, letting players choose from ANY Pokemon right form the beginning of the game.

It is like taking a Final Fantasy Game, pulling everything out except battles and charging you $50.00 for it. It is sick.

I wish they would just get over it and release like a FULL Pokemon game, like the hand held ones, but with awesome to the max graphics. That is all I'd like to see, Pokemon, but pimped out in the Wii.

I'd like that idea, even though I stopped after the first MMBN. It'd be pretty cool to have your own "Navi" that you can customize looks, color, etc etc
Sim City DS anyone?

I've always dreamed about the ultimate pokemon online game. I hope they make it good because the pokemon games deserve it (of course I'm referring only to the original Red and Blue on the gameboy colour... anyone who prefers the newer stuff doesn't have a clue about anything, man.).

Already got Sim City on my Wii and Cell Phone.

I didn't really play much after the first. Once I got over the fact that it wasn't actually MegaMan (just a game/show that used those characters as a base) I was alright with it.
The whole Navi thing combined with the two dimensions of the real world and the network world really makes for some cool stuff.

I can't say I'd pay $10 a month for it, but I still think it's a really sweet idea to toss around in my head.

Do you know if Battle Revolution allows players to connect their NDS Pokemon game to the Wii and do anything neat? I don't mind games where you unlock things by owning both the GameCube and GBA versions, but I really want to see something take advantage of Wii-to-DS functionality.

Pokemon Online can't wait. I don't care if it is childish, it is an awesome game.
All I want in a Pokemon game is a way to change your bloody appearance.

What about Green?

Luckily for you, in Revolution you fight and get points that you use to change your appearance such as hats, shirt, pants, etc. :D

I'm sold already. Now lets hope they do that in the DS games.

Yeah it does somehow..Besides uploading to the wii, I think maybe you can use the DS as a move selector or something; I'm not sure what else.

From what I know all it is, is a souped up Pokemon Coliseum, but this time with limited Pokemon. I guess in order to unlock more you'll need Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.

You can connect to the Nintendo WiFi connection and battle people online and I know there is something you can do with your DS with your Wii, but it might be something as simple as just uploading your save file.

As for the Pokemon games for DS, I thought all you could do is dress your Pokemon up. Yeah thats right, you can put like top hats and stuff on them. I thought that was it.

None of the screen shots I saw showed any customized player sprites.

I was really upset when I saw they didn't make the new DS games 3D. I mean, I think it is about time they do it, especially considering the DS CAN do it.

I am too, but think about it. Over 550 different 3D models, just counting pokemon, without animation. Thats alot by itself.
