how do i let byond members rank my game.

Rank is decided by BYOND members who add people's games to their favorites.

I think the game must actually be added to a channel to have it's ranking viewed, but I'm not 100% sure.

Nope, anyone can rank any game at any time. I may have been not a member, but I know a bit about it. As far as I know, you either add it to your favorites, or a "Rank Game" appears on the games hub. ( I am not exactly sure at this momment ) But you do not need it to be on a channel.

Actually, I was refering to the 'BYOND Rank: number' when you view the game's hub entry.
I only say so because I went and tested it out, added it to my favorites, and it still didn't appear.

The owner of the game has to set this under the HUB options.
