k i setup it on pager and router and took down firewall If you're still failing to connect, then you might not have the port set up right after all. Remember, you need one port for the game, and one for the pager. They both need to be accessible through your router and/or firewall. You also need to make sure you're actually hosting on the right port. You'll find a lot of useful tips on this sort of thing at http://www.portforward.com. Lummox JR |

If you're not behind a firewall or router, it doesn't matter which port you use for the most part. Setting the port to 0 when you host will make it pick a random one.
If you are working with a firewall or router, then you'll need to pick a specific port and open a hole for it so traffic can come through. For a router, you need to tell it to send incoming traffic on that particular port to your machine. (You'll actually need two ports, one for the game and one for the pager.) In that case you need a specific port number--I recommend something in the high thousands like 9000 or more, but you can use anything up to around 65000. The choice of which port to use is entirely yours.
