I paid memberships for a couple of people and after paying for them I decided that they don't deserve to have the membership status. How do I take away their memberships?

You can't. No refunds.

They cannot be stripped, paying for them is like giving a gift. Im very sorry but it cannot be done.

That sucks then. Why does that suck? If I give you a free laptop and you make a great BYOND game using it, would it be legit for me to take back your laptop -- which also happens to have the only copy of the source-code of said game -- on the accounts of my opinion that you "don't deserve it"? -- Data |

That was probably the worst analogy I have ever heard. It makes no sense at all. =/ |

This has potential to be the worst analogy ever.

No the people I bought memberships for actually tried and succeded at getting me banned from the game that I bought memberships for them. Also some people in said game also stated that they would actually have someone hack my account if I didn't buy them a membership as well. The people that I actually did buy memberships for turned against me and I want them to be stripped of their memberships. Come on, there has to be a way!

There's no way to take away a gift membership, you gave them a gift and you can't take it back.
Period. |

It is ridiculous you are even trying to do such a thing.

Let them have them. They'll exprire in a year, unless they pay to renew them. Just know that in the end, they're still jerks, and BYOND still gets your money. And threats of hacking accounts should not be taken seriously. You have a better chance of being hit by a train, in Beijing, durring a riot, while juggling poodles and singing 'Sweet Home Alabama'... in drag.

I'm so going to do that, and I get hacked while I'm gone, it's so on your head. =P |

Sure, if I've ever seen Con Air. I had a George Carlin bit in my head at the time, actually. :P

I have never seen a general rule page on BYOND, but I believe threats like that are actually (key) ban-able. Or should be. Whatever fits. |

Also some people in said game also stated that they would actually have someone hack my account if I didn't buy them a membership as well. Vague threats like that should be ignored. If someone does guess the password for your BYOND account, they won't be able to use it to extend somebody else's membership. Plus, you can report the intrusion to BYOND Staff and they'd be in big trouble. If they manage to get into your PayPal / bank account you'll have to report it to the proper authorities. The people that I actually did buy memberships for turned against me and I want them to be stripped of their memberships. Come on, there has to be a way! Too bad. This shows you can't trust them. Don't worry, after a year they'll feel sorry for having screwed you over in the past. If it's not because they can't extend their own memberships then it'll be because they've gained some IQ. -- Data |
