What about like, Zombie Sheep and [stuff]?

And as for the car, are you suggesting we sit OUTSIDE where Zombies can bite us on a Bike, rather than like a nice car that can run the Zombies over.

Gief a tank, taek a lief.

How do you get zombie sheep when you know... There is no zombies around for possibly hundreds of miles to make those sheep into zombies? Even an airborne virus would have extreme difficulty getting to a secluded location.
Like I said, in the event of a zombie breakout the best place to be is miles and miles away from any and all zombies.

As for a car over a bike. True enough, a car can run over zombies. But how many? You might not have much trouble with a few, maybe a small group of 5-10 will minorly slow you down. But what about a group of 100? Think you could run over all those without the car taking damage and without slowing down? How about a group of 1000? Or 10,000?
And when you get in that car you are going to alert those tens of thousands of zombies of your exact location. So what exactly can you do when you are surrounded by those tens of thousands of zombies and the only thing stopping them from ripping you to pieces is a thin piece of glass?
A bike might not offer as much protection, but it doesn't need to because you wont be attracting the attention of many zombies.
Getting into a car during a zombie outbreak is the same as strapping chuncks of human flesh to yourself while wearing bright, flashing lights while holding a sign and shouting through a megaphone "Free zombie dinner! Come and get it!". Personally I'd much rather ride a bike!

As for tanks. Firstly, chances are you wont be finding one all that easy, and even if you do you probably wont know how to operate it or have enough people to operate it (tanks take from 2-5 people to operate properly).

There's this thing, it's called going 90 in a car. Usually it likes to take a lot with it.

As for the tank, "BUT IN GTA I CAN OPERATE AND FIRE A TANK BY MYSELF!?"

Collision with one slow-moving pedestrian while travelling at 35 miles per hour.

I'm hijacking my own thread here, but when will you announce if you're interested in someone's work or not?
In response to The Magic Man
Except for the fact that, people are everywhere and even in places you think might be secluded, could still be inhabited by people or zombies.

Then there is also the idea that, if you have the idea, someone else will have the idea, and ten other people will have the idea. Chances are there might be 1 or 2 people in those groups that are already infected, you know how selfish people act.

So really, I'd rather hide out in a well barricaded mall, or school or something then out in the middle of the woods.

About the zombie animals, very possible. Where I live in Oklahoma, there are cows right across the street from my house in town, same with horses, chicken and sheep.

I have already told people what I thought about their pixel work. I have yet to see anyone who meets my expectations. Kind of like how a job doesn't call you back, it usually means they don't want to hire you.

Fair enough, just curious. Oh well, probably for the better. Chances are i would've ended up getting pissy with you and quitting.

See good point. bad person to have work for you. I hope others see that comment and keep it in mind for future references.

People don't have room to be big babies when the person you are working for are paying you.

Heh, I would've gotten pissy over your personality. For example, when a boss bothers his employees. I would've quit, because I find your behavior, for the most part, apalling. Which, I myself find hard to believe, because I too am a very out there and blunt person, you just redefine it. Not saying I dislike it, I just don't think we'd work well together.

A well barricaded mall wont last you forever. They have a limited supply of resources that rely on a constant supply of electricity to keep them edible. And since there is probably no one alive the chances that there is a constant supply of electricity is pretty low.
That and if you're in a mall you're probably in a decent sized city... With potentially hundreds of thousands, if not millions of zombies.

Personally I'd much rather be on a secluded farm in the middle of nowhere. I've got a renewable supply of food and in the unlikely even that there is zombies around... Chances are there is going to be a lot less than in some town/city.
A standard village in my country has less than 100 inhabitants, smaller ones have as few as 10. I'd much rather face 10-100 zombies than 100,000-1,000,000. But you know! That is just what I would prefer!

As for zombie animals. Like I said, the objective is to live as far away from civilization as possible. Provided you do that correctly the chance of you encountering a zombie should be very low to none at all. Running into people is a more likely situation, but like you said. If you have the idea then someone else will have it too, and you're hell of a lot more likely to run into people in a barricaded mall than in a farm in the middle of nowhere!

We have a somewhat large mall in my city, and it's population is only about 45,000 or so. Still a bad number, but it's better than a few hundred thousand.
What size of an outbreak are you talking about? The difference between a class 1 and a class 4 outbreak are substantial.

Are we talking a residential neighborhood, a city, or worldwide?

For a game, in order to make it tactical and realistic you would have to take the senses into account. If you were to fire up a chainsaw to slay one zombie, sooner or later you'd have a whole horde on your back.

You'd also have to take fatigue into account, that's what makes zombies such a threat. They are no stronger than their original bodies, their death makes them much slower, they have no eye-hand coordination so they couldn't climb a ladder or open a door (other than busting it down) and they surely can't form thought or communication on purpose. The only thing zombies would have on its prey is the fact that they do not fatigue or have a need to breathe and their appearance/groaning would provide a psychological terror.

If you do plan on making this game right, I suggest you find yourself a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide by Max brooks, it's an interesting read and would be the best for ideas. If you can't get your hands on the book, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg made a nice 30-minute rendition of it and you can watch it here.

Anything from baseball bats to riot shields, I want to hear your thoughts. So write as though, you just heard about a zombie epidemic, assuming you have no guns in your house what are some items you'd use.

Anything I can find in my kitchen, and anything that can spray + a lighter.
i have a katana and a pair of nunchuks..

I'd also use gasoline and fire, machete, yard tools, chainsaw, possibly molotovz

A good pair of running shoes.

I love how people keep saying a Katana. I don't know about the rest of you, but very few people I know actually have a Katana. And the people I do know who actually have a Katana, ended up buying it through like BudK, so the sword was either unsharpened or totally crapy. Something that would break in like 3 uses.

Honestly I don't know where people get off thinking they can pay $50 or $60 for a sword and expect it to be anything but a crappy quality of blade.
In response to Revenant Jesus
I know what you mean! Everyone claims they own a sword, I doubt any of them would actually be effective. Use a shovel people!
