I decided to keep the Wii.
Keep the Wii and save for a 360, both are great and worth owning.
The Wii is still a little hard to come by, even with efforts from Nintendo at trying to keep stores stocked. Even now my Walmart still only manages to get 2 or 3 Wii in a week, and they sell out the same day they get them.

Some people are saying it might still be hard to get one my Xmas, especially if it is the seller everyone expects it to be. When Smash Brothers Brawl comes out, you are going to regret selling your Wii because you might not be able to find another one. There are other really good games out there. The New Zelda, Metroid Prime and Sonic are a few you should check out.

The Xbox 360 is a good system. Hell, better then what the Playstation 3 is turning out to be and by all means, I suggest you get a Xbox 360, but save up and wait. The system has been going through a lot of changes lately, and if you play your cards right and wait, you'll be able to get a better model system, with more memory, cooler burning CPU and quite-er Media Drive for less then what they are selling now.
Yeah, but the Wii is so bloody annoying!

The controls are difficult for FPS's, and the system has bad GFX! At least the 360 has good GFX and good games, like Oblivion, Halo 3 when it comes out, C&C, BioShock, and many others...

The Wii's FPS controls are great, and the graphics are perfectly fine.

And there are plenty of games worth owning. I'll list some for you:

Red Steel
Excite Truck
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
Resident Evil 4
Mario Strikers Charged Football
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess

There are more, I just haven't played them.

I believe there are too many people who say a system sucks (or a game sucks) because they don't have it and heard rumors. Nothing you can do about it, but it just seems flat out wrong hearing people talk smack about something that both they nor people they know own.

" -blank- sucks!!!"
"How do you know? What sucks about it?"
"I don't know, my friend just told me it sucks."
"..."

My thoughts: If you've gotten your worth out of the Wii, you can sell it to try out the 360.

I really enjoyed it. I never really saw any of the problems that people were complaining about, other than occasionally daft AI.

Get Metroid Prime 3
Resident Evil 4
Trauma Center
3 awesome games with great control schemes.

You must be 12 years old. All you're probably fed on is peoples interests and not your own. No offence, but the wii's controls haven't been great but if you had metroid prime 3, im sure it would change your mind about the controls. And this holiday season there are at least 7 good games coming out, which is more than enough to keep you entertained.
I would stick with the Wii and save for the XBOX 360. It sucks to have to save, but having both is well worth it.
Both consoles will continue to get better so neither one is a bad choice, but they complement each other well enough that owning both is a really good option.

Maybe if your confident that you'll be able to pick up a Wii cheaper later on down the track it would be a good idea to sell it while demand is high and you're ready to take a break. That way when you wont have to save as hard for the XBOX 360, and can still pick up a cheap Wii later on.

Thing is, the game is no where near Metroid Prime 3, but its decent. I'm looking forward to Red Steel 2; they've had enough time to tighten the controls, include online, and fix what they did wrong in the first one.

I gotta say, I entirely agree with your first list... minus RedSteel... I hated it! Multiplayer was pretty poor and boring (and 80% of why I buy games is for Multiplayer) and the Single Player was just easy... really easy! And the sword fighting wasn't all it was cracked up to be. All the other games are fantastic though!

Yeah, keep a good hold on that Wii. I'm saving for one as well, since I already own a 360.

I haven't played Metroid Prime 3, but it does look like a lot of work has gone into making it perfect from what I've seen. I left it off the list, in case I was questioned on what it's like.

When it finally comes to Australia, I won't end up buying it until I can find it for around $50. The Prime series doesn't entertain me much.

I agree with you somewhat. Multiplayer was incredibly boring, bots would of made it so much better. Single player was on the easy side, but it still had interesting levels and a half decent story. I also liked the sword fighting, even though I never got to use many of the special attacks. Inverting them was too much of a hassle to bother.

1. I am 14 years of age.
2. I already own Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
3. Yeah, Halo 3 being one of those great games (It IS coming out THIS year, right??)

You may be right about MOST of those games, but Red Steel sucked MAJOR balls.

Yeah, but I've actually PLAYED Red Steel. It sucks. And I overestimated the awesomeness of the Wii.

I have TERRIBLE hand-eye coordination, so the whole point and click at the screen thing is difficult for me when playing Metroid.
