making a real website...

how would i make a real website? like mywebsite.com, not freewebs or anything...

mydomain.com or any other site that offers site building...of course you have to pay to actually have it so its "yourwebsite.com"

There is a little something called DNS (Domain Name Service? I forgetz...) that routes your domain name to a specific IP address--which would be the address of your host. They make you pay annually for those names and different places charge different amounts of cash.

I've heard http://godaddy.com is pretty popular. I think they offer website hosting as well which would allow you to use your domain without much configuration.

Usally from sites such as godaddy.com and so on..

For cheapest site for atleast a month: A domain ending in .info from godaddy and when go to: http://www.hostgator.com/ and use the coupon jury .. this gets u 100 gigs for $0.01 for webspace and the domain name about $1.24 so a total of $1.25 or maybe its $1.26.. still its cheap =]
