The all new, button smasher, story thriller and epic series has returned:
StreetFighter IV
No platform has been confirmed yet, but hopes we get it on Wii. According to an article a while back, capcom said everything they make will be mutli-platform or some sort of sequel will be shared. However, since Wii got MonsterHunter 3 would we get SFIV?
At least Capcom won't have enough resources to make this game a PS3 or 360 Exclusive but maybe both.
It would be a wise move if they made it on Wii to get more profits than on PS3 etc

"just like a shiny version that uses joystiq and many buttons to control the fighter"
Why would it be any different than a possible PStriple version? Not that it matters, anyone that's played street fighter enough knows that the only good way to play the game is with an arcade stick. Also Street Fighter Alpha = Street Fighter III Or would 3rd strike be considered SFIII. hmm |

I've seen the 360 one not the PS3 one. just thought it'll be cool if it worked with that hori stick fighter for wii (if it comes on wii).

A lot of people forget that the Wii supports not only the Wiimote and Nunchuck, but it also supports gamescube and Nintendo VC controllers.

Have you even TRIED to play Resident Evil 4 with the Classic Controller? Its like... like... playing it on the gamecube!

A fighting game that uses the WiiMote and the NunChuck would be a very interesting one indeed. I wouldn't limit people to just using the classic controllers unless it was absolutly neccesary. |

I don't even remember there being a Street Fighter III, must be from all of the Street Fighter II I play. Hm...perhaps you should go buy the Street Fighter Aniversary Collection. It has all of the versions of SF2, and one of the versions of SF3. And guys, there's like 50 different versions of SF3 but the majority of them suck so much they aren't worth mentioning. hm....a Street Fighter 4 eh? I don't think the Wiimote would be a good use for a SF game. XBox should never get their hands on a Street Fighter game, and PS3 is too expensive to buy just one game for it. Perhaps if you held the Wiimote like a Joystick and moved it accordingly like the arcade it would be interesting. |

SSBB is going to be able to use the Wiimote, but it doesn't use the motion controls. Why? They aren't precise enough. The only reason that the Wiimote is allowed is that people wont want to buy a control for just one game, at least not until they've played it. They say the GameCube control is the best way to play SSBB. A fighting game using the Wiimote and Nunchuck wouldn't be interesting, it would be a flailing pain!

I don't think it matters what systems it's released on, as long as there is some sort of support for classic Arcade control sticks since none of the controllers of either of the three systems are really suited to fighting games.
System specs is a moot point because SF is a 2D fighting game series, unless, of course, they decide to Make SFIV 3D, which would suck. |

Actually if you look at the Smash Bros. Dojo, it actually states that some of the special moves requires a special motion with the Wiimote.
That being said, playing Tenkigi 2 on the Wii was for for awhile, but I just played better with the gamecube controller I used. Also, Resident Evil 4 was a gamecube game, so duh. |

According to 1UPs EGM podcast, you actually couldn't do some moves on the Wiimote because the button combos were pretty much impossible(Bad layout+only 1 analog stick). The developers also say that they prefer using the gamecube control. The VC control works, but it doesn't have rumble.

Well the Smash Bros Dojo says that it is easy to use any 4 styles of controls. Besides, I don't really like 1UP, they have some really idiot editors, and they seem really biased on some things.
