Man, why's my BYOND acting up? I don't get any replies from when people page me! It worries me...

The only reason you should ever change the hub address is if your DNS servers are malfunctioning and won't properly give the IP of BYOND.
What you need to do is alter the port BYOND uses for paging, and make sure a firewall or router isn't blocking said port. In the same tab, it should talk about "Pager Port". Just make sure that isn't walled off. -- Data |
BYOND Help has a few articles which could help you.

You probably have a firewall or router configured incorrectly. To receive incoming pages the hub needs to be able to contact you. Make sure any software firewalls are configured to allow access to byond.exe, dreamseemer.exe, and dreamdaemon.exe (and the current versions of each, if the firewall does version checking). Then set up a specific port set up for your pager that the hub can contact, and configure your router (if any) to send any incoming traffic on that port to your machine.

Tom informs me that my theory about the port not being opened properly is incorrect--the pager should function (though not quite as well) without it. So to find out what's going on, I'd like to gather more information and hopefully schedule some kind of time when we can both be on to debug this together.
I see you're using version 420, which I've tested without any trouble myself, so I have some followup questions to start:
