Seriously though...I've seen over 50 threads on 50 forums about
"WHENS THE NEXT SSB COMING OUT!?!"
or
"THESE CHARACTERS BETTER BE IN"
And i'm with them except on the second one....
The developer of the game project makes it sound like hes going to give up.. Man......Either make a new game or make Wi-Fi on SSBB not suck..?

Saying the wi-fi sucks is like saying goto is better then loops. No it's not. Anyway, his wi-fi could be bad because he has a weak signal. |

I'm not saying the Wi-Fi is good, I'm saying your analogy sucks.
If the Wi-Fi connection isn't that great then don't use it. Can't you hook it up to your router or modem? |

It's probably good to point out that most routers can comfortably handle a wifi stack along with routing and a firewall inside a 2 MB flash IC.

Not wifi lag i mean Wi-fi as in...
When u battle anyone its really lame when you battle friends its lame and you can use made up stages with friends its proven because someone used usb gecko and it worked fine. ontop of that its kind of lame I mean on anyone vs anyone AKA FFA it should be three groups time stock and coin 1-3 stock 1-5 minutes instead of ur doing time NO MATTER WAHT HAHAHAHAHA |

The stage editor even sucks. It's way too limited.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. What does console memory have to do with internet speeds?
Quite frankly, the slowdown is probably not really their fault - it's probably just because you're playing over the internet. There's only so far they can optimise things. |

I enjoyed the online to an extent, and a lot of battle options become unlocked the more you play the game and the options for building maps do as well.
In fact, just about everything that you unlock (new characters, music, new stages, trophies, etc.) requires you to play or do something specific. Most of it isn't hard to do and enhances the gaming experience. I also made a lot of money from gambling in the online battle spectator matches. |

You ever log into a Byond game and hear someone complain about lag?
You know how many Byond games you could fit on a Wii Optical disc? =O I'm surprised Wii/360/PS3 games can be any sorts of lag-free with all of the people that scream about lag on a game whose host files total a whopping 1MB. |

The size of an application's 'host files' is completely unrelated to lag.

It's kinda related D: If you code in a lot of processes to run and lag everything up, it will make the dmb file bigger. Also, Byond is just "Hit a button, you move" but console games can be "push a toggle, constantly move at a rate dependant on how far the toggle is pushed". There are all sorts of things that would make you think a console game would be unplayable when people can complain about Byond games lagging.

You could have a project with 2-3 instructions that lag the game, and at the same time another with tenths of functions and hundreds of instructions that doesn't lag badly. I'm afraid size is completely irrelevant and doesn't tell you anything; judging by it is extremely inaccurate, even if you ignore the fact a lot of instructions aren't related to networking and done client-side. If you code in a lot of processes to run and lag everything up, it will make the dmb file bigger. Just barely, and 'lots of processes' doesn't equal 'lots of lag'. 'Slow processes' do. Also, Byond is just "Hit a button, you move" but console games can be "push a toggle, constantly move at a rate dependant on how far the toggle is pushed". Incidentally this also isn't very relevant to lag. |

I don't get it. I hate using Gandondorf because he is sooo slow that it feels like I'm walking in mud whenever I'm using him. But with Ike, I just don't notice the slowness. I played with him online, and although I'm new to the game I won consistently. When I play with my other favourites, Pit/Wolf/Falco I struggle to take the win, online and against friends, but with Ike I've only lost once... and that was with a huge handicap.

Ike is arguably the best character due to his insane strength. |

Speed + Skill > Strength
That's true, but Ike is super skilful, and has some of the most useful moves in the game. He has TWO recovery moves, one of which doubles as an insane quick-dash, and the other is perfect for stealing a Final Smash. So I find its more a case of; Speed + Skill < Strength + Skill + Flexibility ~Ease~ |

And also, the characters, save for Sonic and Captain Falcon are too damn slow. Am I playing Street Fighter II for the Super Nintendo?
Lucario, Ganondorf and Ike are just... painfully slow.
