Have you noticed the advertisments for the game EVONY?
They all show a sexy girl with big b00bs or just a close up on boobs.
In fact i checked out the game(boobs attracted me) and there is no boobs AT ALL in the game :|

Yes. funny, that ad is a FLASH and cant copy the source from right clicking on it. Also in the website source i cant find it. Tried keywords adsense google ads flash evony etc. Nothing Looks like boobs are taking over. |
Evony's ads are ridiculous! Every single ad I have seen for Evony Online is nothing more then a chick with a super low cut shirt, where you can see her massive chest with cloth barely covering her nipples. This is totally not child friendly.

Yeah, they're designed to get horny teenagers to click. Won't argue here. |

Yes. rofl. I love the evolution of those ads; especially the final one. I can imagine it now. "Sir! The knight ad is bringing in a few new players" "Yes, but not enough! We need more!" "How about two vampire-looking girls in a suggestive pose?" "Brilliant!" "Sir! The vampire-looking girls are bringing in masses of players!" "Yes, but not enough! We need more!" "... screw it, boobs anyone?" "Fantastic idea! Just put the game title and the fact it's free in small text somewhere. Be sure not to obsecure the boobs in anyway!" "Yes sir!" If I had ads enabled I would have clicked, if only to find out why the hell a bra shop was advertising on a gaming website. |

In this case, likely no. They may have suggested something different, but they didn't state that there would be or promise more cleavage. If they said "Click here for more breasts!" and there were none, then the claim could be false advertisement.

aww...bring back the boobies! :(
this isn't taken seriously is it? I mean, most of the population here probably had more boob-action/exposure in their first year of life than they get (or got) in the following 18 years. so the boob adverts can't be anything they haven't seen before. |

Here is how I see it Digi...
Back when I was much younger and I first discovered roms, a lot of the rom sites had a really heavy adult advertising on them, most likely because it paid out the most. When my Mom saw me on that website, she thought I was browsing porn, even though I was just trying to download Super Mario RPG. :( The Evony ads are pretty mature depending on which ones you get. A kid could be sitting on the forums with that Ad up and their parents could get upset because of it. I think it'd be the best just to have it removed. |

This could be bad of me to say, but judging from this discussion it seems that this ad has grabbed a lot of attention.
That means that more likely than not, the rest of BYOND's population has clicked it more than average. That means, the boobs are good for BYOND. Boobs == Money. Money == Good. BYOND == Needs Money. BYOND == Needs Boobs. See how that works out? |

Tom did mentioned that it had raised their average revenue a bit. :P But if money was all he was looking for he might as well put the porn ads on the site. That would discourage young people from visiting when their parents find out anyhow, and perhaps raise the average age of our user base. Of course, moral objections would probably cause numerous veteran users to leave, including me, but still... |

I would also agree with not allowing anything seriously 'innappropriate', as when I first joined BYOND... jeez. Well it was 2001. So I was probably 11. And my parents would have most definitely banned me even for the ad that is the current discussion, but my parents were extremely over protective. Of course, moral objections would probably cause numerous veteran users to leave, including me, but still... Naturally we would never want that. :) But on the topic of this specific ad, I have to say I don't think it is nearly bad enough to warrant the complaints. |

If you record the URL of the ads, the BYOND staff can block them.
