I'd like to make a hub page without having a creation date set automatically. Think of it as saving a draft of a post or email.

You make the hub page as normal, you set up the medals and all that, but it sits there dormant and unlisted. When you're ready for it to go live you check a (one way) publish button and the hub page goes live with that creation date.
Seconded.

Thirded? I would like to get my BYOND creation date in this decade, not the next :) (Even though my project will probably be released at that time)

He didn't word it too well, but what he meant is that the hub entry would be marked with the published date as the creation date, so that wouldn't help you with anything like that.
However, technically nothing's stopping you from creating a hub entry now, marking it as hidden, then editing it when you're releasing your game. <s>The only thing is that you won't be able to change the hub entry's name (not title; 'path name') after creation.</s>
EDIT: You actually can change it, as Falacy said. I just assumed you wouldn't be allowed to change the hub path after creation, seeing as it's what the hub entry is identified by and changing it would break things related to identifying it (such as hyperlinks and #include statements, for example).

That's exactly what I'm doing now but there's nothing wrong with streamlining the process by adding a 'publish' button.

How would your suggestion at all be stream lining things? Adding an extra step to get things commonly running would be the opposite.
And I'm not sure what Kaioken is referring to when he says you can't change the name, as far as I can tell you can change everything name related at any time.
They could add a feature that doesn't set a new "published date" until the first time a game is hosted live (or some similar criteria), though I see little point in it. And I see even less point in adding a manual button that allows people to decide when they want their hub to supposedly be "created".

It would be streamlined in the sense that you don't have to delete a hub page used for debugging then create a new one in order to have an accurate release date. When initially creating a hub page there could be an option to "Publish this game" right above "Hide this game in the hub index." It would be checked by default, enabling you to completely ignore it if you didn't want to use it.

This is more of a wonky workaround to the suggestion I made. It wouldn't work for single player games.

I just like the idea of having an official release date.
