Spybot isn't a virus checker, moron, it's a registry monitor and I suppose it can check for viruses if you want it to, but that's why people get actual antivirus programs.
This is why it gets paired with another program.
And yes, avast is trash, that is all I have to say.

Kaspersky is god awful anyway. It lags more then a freeware MMO, and has a god awful interface. NOD32 is terrible, and laggy. Removing it from my PC took centuries.

Prove Avast is trash, if it's so terrible? It -barely- takes up any resources at all running. And I'm aware, I taught him what not to do when it came to virus scanners <_<
