Ok I am getting really pissed at BYOND right now. The same bug that was here before, is even worse now. I cannot go 5 minutes working on my game without BYOND locking up on me. This needs fixed NOW! I cant even host a game and update it! This is really pissing me off!

I would like to congratulate you, [INSERT USER NAME HERE], on filing a detailed, informative bug report on this issue rather than taking it to the incorrect forum and ranting about it incoherently, only demanding that the issue should be fixed rather than helping on fixing it. You, [INSERT USER NAME HERE], have helped this project become better.

Well sorry, I did not know where to put it, because most of the forums dont give me an option to make a new topic. I explained everything there is to explain about it. It just says that the file is locked up and thats it. I cant update. The newest BYOND version is even worse on this. And also, I cannot really help them fix it. I dont work for BYOND.

'Help fix it' as in providing a detailed bug report that properly explains what is actually happening, along with giving us steps to reproduce it. |

Okay, that was a nice little flame.
But to clarify what I was saying, there are times when the "New Topic" Option does not show up. So, maybe, instead of flaming people like almost everyone in Byond does on the forums besides helping people like they want to be helped. Try to ask them more info about their problem instead of telling them off because you have been playing Byond longer than them and are more familiar. I don't use the hubs or Forums much, I usually am either working on my game or playing a game that I join using the Pager. So, please, try to help people instead of making yourself look like an arrogant ****head. |

Actually there is a report bug function not only on the forums. A quick search around the website would have reviled this to you. Stop being stupid.

Ok, I made a mistake. Woop-dee-doo. Can you all stop flaming? How about a 'please' or a 'thank you' or a simple 'do this, then this, then this, and you are done. Nothing more to it.'
Instead of:'Do this, stupid, then do this, retard, then do this, idiot, and you are done. Any person could have done this, and you just need to go kill yourself.' Can you see why so many people on the Byond forums piss me off? |

It just says that the file is locked up and thats it. Any changes which would require recompiling the .rsc cannot be made while the game is running. This is not particularly unreasonable as the file has to be sent to each client. If you do not want to get the ".rsc is locked" message, then either don't make any changes to resource files, or host your game from a copy separate from your development: copy your .dmb, .rsc, and any other important files to a separate folder, and run it from there. |
