Do you like a dbz game that has human and halfsayins? I dont see the point of these races, nobody is never going to pick them because they have limited potentials. What do you guys think?
Well, I don't really play DBZ games, but you should keep all available races in. Just code it to make it balanced for each race. Give those two races something unique; don't ask me what, I have no idea.
Developers don't make their races unique enough.
Half Saiyans are NOT limited in Potential at all btw.
Neither are humans.
Every race has it's own special abilities and such, it's all up to the developer to define them.

you should have a race for all characters. like around a track. or make it a sidescroller race around each planet in the series, using various buildings or features as obstacles.

Saying Humans weren't limited is a huge mistake, anyone who watched the series knew that once the show hit a certain point, certain characters representing certain races were totally limited and useless. They even admit to it.
Dragonball is a highly flawed, and generally bad series to base a game on.

You'll have to bend many races if you want the gameplay to be efficient, in essence, not stick to the actual plot much at all.

For humans I'd make them highly breakable, give them a very low durability mod, but make their physical battle skills very high. They should be able to land and dodge hits better than other races because they have to rely upon experience and not overhwhelming force. Their ki manipulation should be above average, meaning they can unlock new skills and learn abilities relatively easy, but their actual potency (KI damage) should be low.

I'd give half-saiyans a humans and saiyans.

Honestly, I don't see the point in making a Dragonball game. The series is bad, and the content is very limited. You'd be better off making an original game in which your creativity isn't restricted.

Interesting, but i will disagree with on DBZ being highly flawed. I believe that DBZ sparked the anime world.I believe that anime that you see today (Naruto & Bleach) all originated from DBZ. Every time i see beams shot, i think of dbz ki attacks. Every time i see characters disappear and then appear, i think of DBZ Instant Transmission.

Yeah, it can't have anything to do with the fact some of the people who worked on Naruto, worked on Dragonball Z.
In response to Ham Doctor
or that the authors of all those other animes, were inspired by Akira Toriyama.

Ghost in the Shell. Gurren Lagann. Cowboy Bebop. Wolf's Rain.

Just four reasons you're completely wrong. The state of the anime that's exported to America by children's companies isn't really indicative of what inspires all anime.

Ah... I remember when Adult Swim was that awesome...

That's a common flawed perception. We humans tend to think that whatever we grew up with was the first incarnation of the very concept. Both effects you mention have been known to fantasy a long, a very long time before Animé was even invented.

You can't forget the original Gundam series. It seems to have sparked quite an interest in Mecha anime.

I like the old Black and white Astro Boy.
One thing human had over a few races were their intelligence. Dr. Gero. Think about the creation of the android race was because of Dr. Gero, who was a human, though yes, he did turn himself into an android. But his human brain made a whole "race" possible. Humans have very large potential.

Not as for half-saiyans. Most of the time they were like the secret weapon, they had a lot of power spikes. Now by them having their power spikes. IE Gohan gets mad and boost his powerlevel/battlepower up to headbutt Raditz. Now after Goku died trying to kill Cell. Gohan used his power spike to destroy Cell.
In response to Lundex
That could just be his personality, pretty sure the other half-saiyans didn't excibit that potential through anger.

A trait system would be fun if you want to use the unique abilities of specific characters for your game.

Such as...

Gohan- you were born with a high potential mod, meaning your true PL is higher than what your body passively shows. Your power spikes in times of danger, and with proper training, you can utilize this unknown force to your advantage.

Goku- you don't give up! You were born with a high determination mod, meaning you'll take many hits before passing out and losing to the enemy. A durable warrior that can overcome the toughest battles.

Vegeta- you're a cold a killer. In battles, you'll do whatever it takes to win, a natural prodigy among your kid. You were born with a high starting power, and boosted offensive abilities to take your opponent down.

Just examples. You could make characters unique as well as races, would be fun.

Actually going deeper into the whole Android idea, first of all, I would think that Humans would offer the most to any other race as a Engineering Race, with the ability to do things such as upgrade armor, weapons, scouters, dragon radars.

Secondly, a lot of Dragonball games simply introduce Androids as a race, which I disagree with. Androids were simply an upgrade to an already available race

If you are going to introduce Androids into your game, do it like Majins and Mystics Remastered did, you had to start out as a Human and collect parts, which you could later use to upgrade into an Android. All aspects of an Android requires parts (abilities, skills, strengths). Not only does that give players more to do, but it gives Humans a bit more meaning.
In response to Ham Doctor
Er, Androids, as in 100% mechanical would be classed as technology. Not an upgrade to an existing race.

I think you mean cyborgs.
In response to KhaosParadox
In DBZ, Android 17, and 18. Were classified as Cyborgs, because they were human and got turned into Androids. Now certain another Androids like 16 and 13. Were more robotic then human. So your statement is partly untrue, because Dr. Gero after his upgrade to become an Android was still part human, well his brain at least.

And since Shenron could turn Android 18 back into a human, so she could have kids should prove that.
In response to Lundex
Android 17 and 18 were cyborgs.
