I'm having a small issue under Windows XP with BYOND where certain interface setups like to let other windows bleed through it and overall looks ugly. Basically just curious if anyone else has had this issue or its just my computer having a fit again. Would like to know before I post a meaningless bug report.:\
Not a bug.

My own computer is XP and it has no problems in using BYOND's Pager.

The interface is fine.

Your computer is having a fit.

Before you tell him it's not a bug you will have to make sure you have the same Graphics card as him, as it may be card-related. I've had some problems with the interface running windows XP (nvidia geforce 5200) but it's not related to what he posted. (asked him on irc) :o

I vouch for this, the same thing happens to me.
I'll have Dream Seeker up and running as well as any other window that isn't BYOND related, and it'll "bleed" the map through so, say for example, I'm scrolling down a webpage in FF or Chrome, boom. I see the game's map.

Windows XP SP3.
COMPAQ V720 Color Monitor.
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics card.
BYOND: 465.1067

That's the problem I have, I didn't think it was the same thing as what he's reporting though o.0

Oh, I thought by "like to let other windows bleed through it" you meant other Windows' windows.

It's more or less a problem I'm having when I have one child window with more child windows set for the primary child's left and right parameters.

I have one pane with empty space(i.e. no window elements occupying it). It seems the empty space seems to let the other Windows and/or desktop bleed through it when I move the DS window around.

Oddly enough, it stops this behavior after I resize the pane manually while DS is running.
It's hard to say with such a small description. You should be more thorough as well as including screenshots of what you're seeing.

A tad off, but pretty much seems like the same bug generally speaking. Here's a screenshot of the strange visual. Bottom right corner, under the circumstances.

EDIT: On a second look, it seems identical judging by the 3rd picture you posted. It's very annoying and not visually appealing whatsoever.

Perhaps you can add to my bug report. If Lummox has another reference for the problem he might be able to track the cause down.

If this is new to 465 then it isn't your bug, and therefore should not be added to that report. But it could have been from an aborted attempt to fix your bug, that shouldn't have affected anything. I'd like a clear test case in a new bug report to confirm all this.

I have three computers I can try this bug on to make sure its happening to more than just this particular PC. I'll post a bug report with some more information on it later today if it's persistent across my other systems.

I could also set up a test case interface design, if that will help at all with tracking down this thing.

Cheers.

Graphic Cards or not, my own computer is a fusion of Windows 98 and XP.

A fusion of 98 and XP? Windows 9P or Windows X8?
