Does BYONDexe only distribute for servers hosted online, or can it be done for Single Player mode?
Also do I need an approved hub for this to distribute single player mode?
I do have a hub and it's close to approval yet it's an unfinished game, so it is not listed.

It should be for all games created through the BYOND engine, and I do believe you need a approved hub and I think you still have to contact BYOND support to request a hub key for it as well. I'm unsure of the details, and don't have time to do the research for you right now. If no one else can provide more and you cannot find more yourself by later tomorrow, I'll look some stuff up for you and try to explain better.

Well I contacted BYOND just now to request one I hope it comes through because it is a fangame, but there are people not willing to install BYOND that are PC Gamers that would love to see a good fangame for that franchise not copied off another. |

Need an approved listed hub, that's it. Does an unfinished naruto fangame that's been in the works since January 2010 work for that? |
We are still revising the policy for this, but most likely what we're going to do very soon is sell keys for $100, and any game can use them. Games that choose to share subscription sales with us may be subject to a free key, since it's a mutually beneficial arrangement.

In that case, I may have a subscription feature on a separate game that I will call, for the moment, Multiverse Wars and share profits with BYOND. Multiverse Wars is not the game in question on this topic, but just to let you know, I am going to be developing that with a few people I have seen and gotten on BYOND. This game will be original and only asked to be an approved listing once V1 is finished. |

That might be a big can of legality that is best to be avoided, though I'm uncertain as to whether or not it's actually illegal. |

If keys are sold in that manner, I don't think BYOND is responsible. Unless the fangame uses BYOND's subscription system.
