Alright, I'm working as a coder with a friend on a project, and we'd like to take it to the new Stand Alone system. That's as far as we've gotten on it. Are there any guides out there, or lists of what we'd need, or at least a place to start?

I really appreciate the help, because I'm just so lost it's not funny.
What is a Stand Alone System?
In response to The Motto
Byond was working on a stand alone thing for its developers. I know they finished it, but I have no idea how to use it, or even get started with using it.
What parameters? What changes to the configuration file? Like I said, I'm absolutely lost on this.

Trivial? I thought this was suppose to save BYOND.

Anyways it would seem he removed the standalone installer download from the dl page.
Unfortunately there is no generic standalone installer available at the moment, for BYOND.

It is distributed on a per-game basis I believe, where you need to get a key off BYOND to use in the process. At present, I believe it's being reviewed as part of BYOND's business model changes, and so isn't publicly available or in general release.

When we go public with the beta software, we'll post information on the installer. If you need it ASAP, you can contact us via support.

Essentially it just boils down to how availability affects our business model. We're hoping the new software provides us some revenue through ads in the pager, and since the standalone doesn't use this, it doesn't really help us out. So if people are to use the standalone, we have to either be assured that we're not losing a lot of users that would otherwise use the pager (I'm hoping this won't be the case just out of the fact that the new pager is pretty useful on its own), or else we'll need some compensation either through a one-time fee or shared sub sales (which is currently the case for games that use it).

Thank you so much for responding. We don't particularly need it at the moment, but we where just looking forward to the future, to utilize the stand alone system to bring our game to a wider audience, so we could show them what Byond coding could do.

However, if you're currently going under a reconstruction, I believe we can wait until things are more stable, so that everyone can get the best out of the situation.
