Hey everyone! Long time no see. Sorry for the wait.
I ran into some issues recently (lost my job, car broke down, washing machine got clogged, etc) so I haven't had any spare cash to go about with winners or not. Whats worse is that I wasn't able to pay my cable bill so the only internet I've had for a while was 3g through my phone. =\ I've got a new job now (which I loooove) and hopefully within the next few weeks I'll be able to hand out prizes. For the moment though I'm just enjoying being able to type again. playing games offline blows. |
You had 3G and you didn't visit BYOND to update your contestants with what's going on?
I didn't think you were going to give any money anyway from the beginning no offence, just my opinion. |

Honestly with Lummox JR not giving out $ for the Cartridge Classic II, he's just set the example for the rest of the contest holders not to give out their promised prizes. Doesn't surprise me. |
and hopefully within the next few weeks I'll be able to hand out prizes. Lets all pile on the hate anyway. |

But really nearly 3 months later .. he has 3G not hard to visit byond.com .. I do it on 3G all the time, that's just an excuse IMHO. |

I'm gonna be honest, if I lost my job, even remembering I had a BYOND contest going on sits somewhere below "go shopping for boats" in terms of my list of priorities.

3 months and not an update even if he had an interview a day averaging an hour or two a day he has still 4 hours a day left easily...
Stop sticking up for him he could of made a post it's not that fudging hard and would of took two minutes ... You can't interview 24/7 he is just embarrassed he didn't have the money at the start sorry but it's true. If he made a post claiming that's he "lost his job" no one would of cared anyway most people are reasonable.... I really just don't like people that offer something and don't deliver, he "lost his job" sure post about it and say something like "once I get a job I promise the winners will be compensated" it all seems a bit suss to me... At least no one gave him money towards it... |
Basically this.
No offense to you guys, but when it comes to how things have been going lately, you were pretty low on the priority tree. I had to get things straightened out. Not having a viable computer (no internet) while job searching meant I had to use library stuff for resumes. As for the phone, the only thing internet based that works properly on it is instant messaging through MSN/Skype. Even Facebook took like 3-4 minutes to load completely. I also forgot my password and had to do a recovery, and yahoo mail despises my phone. So recently life has just been one shitty thing happening after another. Regardless, paypal transfers take about 3 days from my bank to my paypal, but I haven't really made enough to get anything set up. I get paid biweekly as well so it may be a while still. I didn't forget you guys, shit just hit the fan in about six different ways. -__- It's getting better though. |
No need to explain, Bravo1. I think anyone who's not a moron would understand that in the the real world, when you're without a job, you tend to have more important things on your mind than a BYOND contest.
If it gets the contest winners their prizes and shuts up the delusional, I'm quite happy to pay up the prizes in full on your behalf, if you pop me the details. [email protected] Get in touch. |
You have MSN / Skype surely you have at least ONE person on BYOND and could of asked them to make a post on your behalf.
Look I feel sorry for you even though you now have a job, but really ... These sound like excuses, and I don't think many people will buy it, by the sounds of it they lost respect for you a few pages back. I don't really care that shit hit the fan you had time to check out MSN/Skype and Facebook but not BYOND... That's great it's getting better! |

Obviously, but getting a job doesn't take 24 hours, stop being stupid like usual. If it gets the contest winners their prizes and shuts up the delusional, Uh normal behaviour from a moderator as usual.... I'm quite happy to pay up the prizes in full on your behalf, if you pop me the details. [email protected] Get in touch. Of course you are. |
I didn't feel it was necessary to update you guys until I was able to even consider finishing the contest.
If something had happened that I wouldn't have been able to pay up, I could have just faded away. If I had updated you guys though, then it'd be another pressure to remember that you guys are waiting. It was easier to manage life when you believed nothing was coming from the contest, because I was essentially "off the hook", at least in some form. I'm not a scumbag though, so I came back and updated as soon as I started work again. If you really want prizes now I can get it, I'll just have to stick to ramen for a week. |

It must have been the audio. I should have converted it to ogg first..
