Merry Christmas!(late) this year i got something Ive always wanted; a graphics tablet and to test it out i didn't a little concept art for spirit age's shape shifting race.

What kind of tablet did you get? I still use the one i got back in 2003 a Wacom intous I believe its called... it's not all that great with compared to its follow ups.
The concept art looks good, if a bit too detailed head compared to the rest of the body but yeah i can see where it is going. Did you decide on a color scheme for them already? | |

J/w but how come on the finger where the razor sharp claw arrow is pointed to. How come the claw is faced that way? wouldn't it be the other way or something unless you change the way the finger is positioned. Just something i noticed, it just looks weird from my perspective but ya knows. Yeah..

My girl friend has one of those, whenever I attempt to draw with it, I can never get the coordination s correct. It's to awkward feeling for me looking at the screen while my hand is drawing, I have to look at my hand and where it's going to be able to draw. Anyways, good work, looking forward to seeing the Base you create.

Nice job Zane it looks very good :) though it kind of looks like the positioning needs some adjustment :)
Yeah me too Flys that's always been my issue as well :) now i'de be happy if a tablet had it's own screen so i can see where i'm drawing otherwise like u said you have to know where your pen would be according to the screen without anything actually showing you where it is till you touch the tablet and start drawing. | |
It looks good, but his left arm and leg aren't linear with his bodys direction.

yeah thanks guys the anatomy is wonky because this was me using a tablet for the first time ever and i was too excited to use a reference so im at fault there haha.
I find that you have to turn the touch function off temporarily in order to draw atleast for me i like resting my drawing hand on the surface. | |
