The most annoying thing is when people say they need to "itch" something.
Your is possessive.

You're is a compound word used when combining you and are.

Example:
That is your computer you're using!
I hate when people say "turrent" when referring to "turrets". Why is it so hard for people to remember "turret" doesn't have an "n"?! In LoL, GW2, even back in the good old days of Proelium people would say "turrent" and it would drive me INSANE.
helment was a big problem of mine back in the day

helmet helmet helmet!!
There - direction
Their - possessive
They're - contraction meaning they are

Example:
They're over there washing their car.
to, too, two
for, fore, four
Herp, Derp, Jerk.

I say "turrent" just to annoy people. It's pretty funny to see their reactions.
I don't see how it vs it's matters as long as you know what they're saying. I don't mind when they leave out the apostrophe.

I can see how someone saying turrent or helment can get on your nerves since they're adding unneeded letters.

Agreed, people just like to gossip & complain.

Good: But if someone types like this.

Bad: bt if somene1 tps lik dis.

Its usually in a game where I can kill them over and over, like world of warcraft or LoL. So if I do get annoyed I please myself.
